A busy few weeks at both and foal sales is over. The shed is restocked for the winter and fingers crossed there are a few smart ones amongst the bunch.

Pic 6: A big raw good walking son of Shaman who will make a nice yearling out of a Kodiac mare.

Pic 7: A belter of a filly by Sioux Nation out of an Exceed and Excel mare.

Pic 8: An attractive individual by Arizona whose dam is a half sister to the 2yo Listed placed Dreamliner.

A great week for our graduates with Finimondo winning impressively at Chantilly for ecurie_guarnieri. We sold him to lackahousestables at tattersalls in 2022. Today Besiege runs very well first time out to come a close 3rd at dundalk_stadium for trainer jrrhalley. He was sold at goffs uk Premier Yearling Sale last year.

The Thoroughbred Daily News asked me to give my opinion on the best value sires from the crop of stallions that retired to stud in 2023. I based my judgement on what I feel is the best value for money. I’ll probably cringe when I look back on this after their 2yo’s debut.

What a way to start the new year….We had this lovely Ardad filly arrive early this morning. 🐎🎉🐎 We have traded plenty of horses in the last few years but this is the first horse we have bred ourselves. Very special!! 😀 She is out of Crispy Cats 1/2 sister Pretty Mahra.
