The Veterinary Clinic provides professional veterinary care for animals. We attend to farm animals such as sheep and cattle as well as pets including cats, dogs and anything else that might be your companion! Six fully qualified and registered veterinary surgeons are available to diagnose and treat your animal's condition according to the most modern standards and techniques. We offer a call-out s
ervice for the bigger animals and have fully equipped consultation rooms both for farm animals and pets as well as operating facilities. A well-stocked and extensive in-house pharmacy will allow us to use the medicines required to get your animal back on track. Our technical equipment includes an x-ray facility, an ultrasound scanner and some laboratory machines. We also offer worming and flea treatment products for small and large animals, high quality specialty dog food and some pet equipment like leads and collars. In the large animal sector, we provide a call-out service to attend to sick and injured animals as well as calvings and Cesarean sections. We offer herd testing, blood testing for sales or health monitoring, pregnancy scanning and herd health supervision. Calves can be hospitalized in the clinic and receive treatments like intravenous drips to treat calf scour. Sheep are commonly brought to the clinic for lambings, Cesarean sections and to diagnose and treat conditions like milk fever, infections, injuries or foot problems. In the small animal sector, we provide a full health service for your pet, starting with puppy vaccinations from ten weeks of age, worm and flea treatments, neutering and treatment of illnesses and injuries. Thanks to our operating facilities and x-ray unit, we can diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions as well as having referral options for even more advanced treatments. Please always phone to make an appointment! Saturdays, Sundays and out of hours we provide an emergency service. A vet is available 24 hours, all days of the week and during all holidays to attend to acutely sick or injured animals.
We are delighted to announce the opening of our new facilities on Monday 19th August. Our new address is Tulnaree Carndonagh. Our Eircode is F93 KDK5. (Many people will know it as the old cattle show field)
Due to this, please note that we are closing the clinic at the earlier time of 3 pm on Saturday, 17th August.
A vet will still be available for emergencies.

No one came forward to claim the cat. We have also discovered that she is pregnant. Animals in Need Donegal have very kindly taken her into their care which we are very grateful for.
Lovely wee black and white female kitten (approx 6months old) found at supervalu this morning! Very friendly so must have a home somewhere! If you recognise this little one, she is currently safe here at the vets getting loads of TLC 💛

Kobe is an absolute bundle of joy, but due to circumstances his owner is going to have to look for a new home for him 💔 He is very lovable, full of energy and we’ve been told he loves children and other dogs too! He is nearly 4 years old and is a Collie X Staffie 💜 He is also just recently neutered and was an absolute gentlemen for us here at the vets! 🎉

Are your ewes free of liver fluke? 🐑 With lambing time coming closer, you want your ewes to be in perfect health to perform the best 👌 Right now, we see a good few cases of ewes with high liver fluke burdens, which has strong impact on body condition and milk production for their lambs. It also makes them more vulnerable for infectious and metabolic diseases. If you're not sure how your ewes fluke status is, drop us in a dung sample to see if a dose is needed and to make sure nothing is in your way for a successful lambing time 🐑
It's sponging time on many farms 😃🐑 After successful insertion and removal (hopefully they all stayed in and came easily out again when pulled) please do remember to keep used sponges away from your dog, don't leave them lying around the yard! Unfortunately we see dogs every year getting sick after eating sheep sponges - they must have an irresistible flavour 😝 - and can get stuck in their intestines which can lead to serious illness! So make your sponging a happy event for everyone and bin used sponges straight away 😀🐕👍

JACK GOT AT HOME!!! 😃😃 thanks so much everyone ❤️❤️ Everyone meet the handsome Mr. Jack 🐶 He is another Sheep dog that instead of working with sheep he would rather lie and get his belly rubbed all day❣️ He is looking for his forever home, since we have had Jack he has came on leaps and bounds. He was very nervous at the start and now is completely out of his shell 🐶 He is 2 year olds, neutered and would best suit a house with no young children ☺️ He loves other dogs and would be a great friend for your other little pet at home ❤️ Please comment and share to help Jack find his furrever home ❤️🐶
