I have experience walking dogs of all sizes, reactive and social dogs, and will walk dogs on the restricted breed list (as long as they are muzzled). I offer solo and group walks and I also accept once-off or regular bookings.

Hi all - please note a change to the booking process for Tails & Trails.

Starting in 2025, a deposit will be required in order to secure a booking.

I’ve been reluctant to introduce this change as I pride myself on allowing great flexibility, however due to a recent spate of last minute cancellations I now need to make some changes to how I manage bookings.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause my existing clients however I’ve reached a point where I’ve had to decline bookings due to capacity limitations and late cancellations are unfair both to clients who I’ve had to refuse, and myself. As such, deposits will be non-refundable in event of client cancellation.

If there is an emergency which results in me having to cancel I will of course fully refund any deposit you’ve paid.

I hope you can understand, and I look forward to continuing to provide you with the excellent service you’ve come to expect from me.

I’m loving seeing all the decorations go up in people’s houses as I go on my walks, and I’m so excited to put up my own tree soon ✨

However, Christmas will be a difficult one this year for our family after so many losses throughout 2024.

Hope everyone has a great night tonight 👻

However, it’s also important to remember tonight can be one of the most stressful nights of the year for our fur babies. Regular door knocking from trick or treaters combined with fireworks can make some dogs very anxious - please give them extra cuddles tonight 🐾

And remember, chocolate is toxic for dogs so make sure they can’t get into any human treats! A good alternative for a four-legged safe treat can be carrots - my doggos love them ❤️

I don’t think I can cope with this ball of cuteness 🥹

This little fluff ball is just 12 weeks old so only learning how wonderful walks can be. For now, she’s a bit hesitant of her lead, so we do short walks to let her acclimatise to all the new experiences and smells, and then play in her garden for the rest of the time.

As a result of my injury, you may have seen me mention taking bookings for drop-ins in my recent posts. If you’ve asked ‘what’s that’ or ‘why would I book one’, this reel is for you 🐾 If you have to spend a day away from home for any reason (working in the office, family commitments, attending an event like a wedding or a party etc.) and don’t want to leave your dog alone and / or outside for the duration, you can book a drop-in with me ☺️ I’ll spend the time playing, cuddling and giving your dog some mental stimulation to break the day up for them. They’ll also be able to go outside and do their business, and I can top up their water, and give them food as needed too. Short update on the shoulder situation 😭

‼️ Weekend slots ‼️ Want to book your dog in for a walk or drop-in this Saturday 23rd or Sunday 24th March?? Rates will increase to time and a half for Saturday and double for Sunday e.g. if you usually pay €10 for a weekday slot, the same booking would cost €15 on Saturday or €20 on Sunday. First come first served so send me a message if you want to secure your slot 🐾

⛈️ What a miserable day ⛈️ It doesn’t mean your pup has to miss out though! When the rain is really bad or if there’s rain warnings, I can still make sure your dog is looked after. If someone has booked a walking slot for a day like today, I will not walk the dog but instead call to the house, let them out to the loo and back in, top up their water / food, and play with them indoors for the duration booked. (However, if the customer prefers, I would reschedule (where possible) or cancel instead - I understand drop-ins aren’t a suitable alternative for everyone.) While I love taking dogs on walks, mental stimulation via interaction and indoor play is also very important for dogs’ wellbeing. Drop in slots might also be suitable for dogs who are unable to walk outdoors for any reason (waiting for vaccinations, in heat, recovering from an injury or surgery etc.). The Sunday night fear that I used to feel so intensely before doesn’t really exist for me anymore - when your Mondays look like this, how could it? 🥰 I feel so extremely lucky I get to do something I love as my job (even when the rain pelts down so heavily I can wring water from my socks inside my wellington boots when I get home 😂).
