Hello everyone, my name is Ginger. I'm in a bit of a sticky situation. One of the lovely Vets at Castle Vets was out on a farm visit. Myself and my siblings had been dumped onto this farm. Unfortunately my siblings got into road traffic accidents and didn't survive. The lovely people at Castle Vets have taken me under their wing to try and find me a forever couch.
So a little bit about me, I'm roughly 4 years old. I have a lovely temperament (if I do say so myself) I'm OK with other dogs boys and girls. My vaccinations have been started and I've been told I'm going to be neutered whatever that means 🤷‍♀️

Versace has been missing since Friday the 27th October between Claremorris and Mayo Abbey.
He is a friendly cat and not usually weary of atrangers. He is large black cat with a tiny white patch on his neck and belly. He is neutered. Attached is a picture of the area he is missing from and pictures of Versace.

Hello everyone! We groom large breeds of dogs as well. This is Harry, a beautiful 50kg Saint Bernard, that was in today for a brush and wash. No wonder he was tired after the groom, it took almost 4 hours to make him nice and clean again. 😴🐶

Some dog breeds are better not to be shaved, because it can change the structure of their coat. Corgis are an example of this. Take a look at Dante, who has been in yesterday for his regular brush and wash with our groomer Kat. 🐶🛁

Here you can see two of our grooms from this week. Golden Doodle Joni for his first groom with us and Sam, a flat-coated Retriever cross for his 5th groom at our clinic. Even though big breeds take more time, they still need to be groomed regularly. They were both very well behaved and I can’t wait to see them again. 🐶 Kat The Groomer

We are grooming cats as well! This adorable Maine C**n Leo was in today for his regular stylish lion cut. Cats usually need to be sedated for a groom as they don’t like most of it, but they are monitored continuously so they are in safe hands. Please remember it’s really important to keep up to date with worming protection for you feline and canine friends. This tapeworm segment came out from a cats bum when we were taking x-ray’s. Please remember some tapeworms can be transmitted to humans! Call into the clinic to discuss your pets worming needs with a member of the team.

Watch closely and you’ll see some ear mites crawling in this cats ear. Ear mites are a very common parasite in dog’s and cat’s ears. Only certain antiparasitic medications will cover ear mites, including advocate. Call into the clinic and pick up a 6 month supply for your pet and receive a 15% discount or 25% off a years supply and receive a free gift and worm treatment!

Are your pets up to date with their parasite treatments? We are seeing a lot of fleas and ticks with this hot weather, which can be hiding in under your pets coat. Flea dirt can be seen as black specks when looking through the coat (see video), ticks can be very small when they first attach, gradually becoming engorged with your pets blood (see video in comments). If you notice any on your pets, please don’t hesitate to contact us for information on how to control these critters on your pets and in your home!
