This is Scrappy, he's 16yrs old, missing from the Glenisland Church Area since 14:30pm yesterday. Not microchipped and not wearing a collar.
He is very mobile but his hearing and sight isn't great.

This cat strayed into a lady on Saturday in the Ballyheane area. Very friendly and used to being indoors. Taken to local vet to check for a microchip - no chip found. Looks to have been been spayed in the last couple of months. If you have any information please contact the clinic.

This little cat wandered into a clients garden. No collar. Friendly but a little wary. The left ear appears to be tipped which usually indicates the cat has been neutered. Possibly could be missing from a colony. If you recognise this little one or have any information please contact the clinic.

Halloween is only a few days away! This can be a scary time for our pets.
Here are some useful tips for dogs who get anxious with fireworks and the door bell ringing:

🎃 Taking your dog for a walk earlier in the day so they are tired by the evening and comfortably at home in their safe space before the fireworks begin 🎆

🎃 Close all curtains, windows and doors. You can also turn the volume up loud on your TV to mask the noise

🎃 Create a safe space for your dog such as their bed or crate to help reassure them

The use of Adaptil sprays, collars and plug- in can help reduce anxiety along with positive reinforcement during these stressful times 🐶

🦷 Check out the before and after pictures of this little Bichon that was in with us for some dental treatment this week.

🦷 Did you know that at least 80% of dogs over the age of 3 have some degree of dental disease? With smaller breeds at higher risk.

🦷 Unlike people, animals require a full general anaesthetic to ensure that their teeth are fully clean. It is very important that the teeth are cleaned not only below the gum line but also underneath as this is where plaque and tartar can build up and not be seen.

Here is the gorgeous Kit in for her physio session today. She comes in for monthly sessions to help with her arthritis. Our head nurse Meghan is also a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist and runs clinics here at the practice.
