A kind reminder to book as early as possible! I still have plenty of availability left throughout the year including summer which books up so quickly! 🥰 Please only get onto me for a booking if it’s definite as I’ve had a few cancellations lately where people get friends or family members instead.

I understand people may be hesitant about booking with my surgery coming up, however it could even be next year before it’ll happen. Things are moving alot slower than expected but I’ll know more as the months go on and I have more appointments.

This is probably my hardest year in business and so far hasn’t started off great which is understandable. The uncertainty of my surgery date and people not booking due to this is adding to my stress especially financially. Obviously after the surgery then too I will be out of work for awhile and out of pay. I encourage everyone to just continue on as normally with me until I know more, I know it’s easier said than done!

Please remember I am a one woman business and being self employed is never easy, especially when your bills are exceeding your income. I had a comment under my advertising post saying ‘I’d say you pay well’ which is a ridiculous comment for someone to make about anyone’s business. I would like to think I am reasonably priced compared to some places and people also have to remember that I am fully qualified, experienced and trained in animal care, pet first aid and have full insurance to cover me and my clients in all aspects of my business and this is my fourth year in business. Please also be aware that most people offering it cheaper or offering because ‘they love dogs’ do not have the same background behind them and if anything happens your pet on their watch, you have no legal ground to stand on.

So please don’t be afraid to book in any dates! I’ve had people say ‘oh we’ll see how your year plans out’ or ‘you’ve enough stress’ but yet it’s stressing me more if I’m not working and then if I do get booked throughout the year it’ll be too late for you to book in so don’t have that mind set 🤣

Please be aware that this doesn’t just affect and include XL Bully’s, it includes any dog that falls into the category of what they consider an XL Bully to be. I’ve seen people with pitbulls have to get an exemption. Please have a look at the conformation standard and if your dog fits in with the certain head length, body type etc, you’re safer to get an exemption! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know it’s very late in the month to post Decembers Dog Of The Month I forgot with having the flu and then the snow and all! 😰 Of course Bailey had to win ❤️

*Side Note: Last year was the first year I didn’t do a Pawz N’ Clawz Dog/Cat of the Year competition as I had a lot going on in December but I may run a competition for it later in the year!*

Bailey is just the most amazing intelligent dog ever and I loved my stay with him 🤗 He was so well behaved and we had lots of fun with him showing me all his toys! I absolutely adore him ❤️
