Im sure you all remember Zuri. How could anyone forget the savage would almost full circle on her neck..... well she is finally ready to find a home 🤞

Zuri is roughly 7/8 yrs young.
She is the most delightful dog to be around. She is so loving and friendly. She thrives on being told shes a good girl. We know she never knew a kind hand until she was rescued. So her life has turned full circle and she knows it.
She loves all dogs, large and small.
No cats. She has made no effort to harm any but we dont home ex hunters with cats.
Zuri loves people. The more the better. She will land up to the table at lunchtime and join in with the team. Everyone loves her.
Her personality is laid back and sensible.
She fears nothing and is now very confident. So easy to walk on the lead.
We would just love to find her a home where she will finally know love n light 🐾

A sad fair well today to four of our students. They have worked so hard every day these last few months and walked every dog too. They are a credit to their families and school.

Macy, Aine, Ali and Max are siblings of Lassie and Shep.
All are 18 weeks old.
They can go to an Irish home now and can travel to a UK home offer in 21 days.
Very friendly and loving pups. Socialised with lots of dogs and well handled by our team. They are perfect to adopt if you have cats as they will live with them too. They all adore children and our younger volunteers play with them every day.

Shep ( brown and white ) Lassie ( black and white )
are now 18 weeks old.
Both these pups are in foster and are very socialised and extremely friendly. They are cat friendly and have been raised with a family.
Two beautiful pups.
They can travel to any UK home offer in 21 days or an Irish home offer now.

Boomer is hoping he may get a home offer too 🤞

He is now 15 weeks old. A Staffie mix Husky. An ex Monaghan pound boy.
He is just divine and your heart will melt even more when you meet him. He is in foster so he is almost housetrained. Socialised with children and in a family environment. He loves all dogs and he will live with cats too.
How could you not love him? 😍

Frankie is their sister.
She too is 7 mnts old and a lab mix Spaniel.
She is the calmer pup. Very laid back. She too is very gentle and so light to walk on the lead. She loves all dogs. She can live with cats too and adores children. Ideal for a family to adopt.

Farah their beautiful Mum has finally been booked for a home. Now lets see can we finds homes for her puppies.

Faye is now 7 mnts old. A lab mix Spaniel.
When she came she had a swelling on her neck. Our vet said he sees it a lot in litters of pups that play too rough with each other ( like hanging out of each others necks in play not aggression ) so our vet surgically removed it. She will be left with a slight scar but the hair is growing back.
She is super soft and gentle. Your baby finger could walk on the lead ( video in comments )
She loves all animals including cats.
Adores children and would be ideal for a younger family to adopt.

It has come to our attention that despite numerous reports to Facebook, the clone fake Animal Haven Ireland page is still in operation using our banner and logo with a view to extracting money for non existent dogs for adoption.

The fake page is clearly different and identifiable. It only has 232 likes and only posts stock pictures of designer pups. All of our dogs available for adoption are also posted on our Dogs for Adoption page and our website.

From messages we received from those who have contacted them, they are asking for €550 adoption fee from anyone who who expresses any interest in adopting one of the pups. Once the money is paid the location given for pick up is an empty building in the middle of nowhere.

We are reporting the page to the Gardai and we would be very grateful if as many of our supporters as possible could also report the page to Facebook and warn others so as no one else falls victim to this scam.

Yin is his brother. Lets see can we find him a home too 🤞

Yin is roughly 10 mnts old. Also an ex Monaghan pound boy.
He has the most beautiful face and Im a soft tough for sticky up ears and he also has a black birth mark on his tongue.
Yin loves all dogs. He would be happy to be an only dog or live with a companion.
He just wants a home like every other dog gets. Hes never had nothing.
We tested him with cats and he showed no interest even when three of them started purring at his paws.
Yin has no interest in livestock and at all costs he will avoid them.
He does not know how to play yet as he never had any toys until now. His brother tries to show him and Im sure he will learn in time but he does love a tasty chew treat.
If you would like to come and meet him. Bring your own dog or Id be happy to ring you and do more videos to help secure him a home 🐾

Yang is hoping he may secure a home offer too 🤞

Yang is an ex Monaghan boy who came with his brother ( he will be up next )
He is roughly 10 mnts old but mature for his young age. Laid back and sensible.
The nicest dog to be around. In the mornings when he knows the breakfast trolly is on its way, he waits with his bowl in his mouth so you can fill it 😍 It would melt the heart of a stone.
He loves toys and will play chase after all you throw for him. He has not learned to bring the toy back yet but he is only now living the life he always should have had.
He loves all dogs and would love to be an only dog as he thrives on your love and affection but he would also be perfect in a home and share with a companion too.
Yang has no interest in livestock. Poor boy was so afraid of our goats. We tested him with cats and have a video of one purring around his face.
In blunt Yang is a soft and gentle soul who would just love a family of his own.

Next to look for homes are Suzie, Ollie, and George.
They are now 14 weeks old and will be average lurcher size when fully grown.

All three siblings are very friendly and loveable.
They are ideal to adopt if you love a long nose and already have cats as these are super gentle with all animals.

They can travel to a UK home offer at the end of this month.

They are ready to adopt now to an Irish home offer.

Reggie is still waiting for that special home.

Reggie needs a home with a retired couple or an older parent of yours living alone.
He loves older people and would just love to be a lap dog companion.
No young children as he genuinely is afraid of them. Must be some trauma in his past.
You could still adopt Reggie if there is grandchildren visiting as he is crate trained and happy to relax or stay in the utility room on their visits.

Reggie is 3 yrs old. A Yorkie mix.
He has a quirky personality but we only laugh at him. Typical small man.
He is a super watch dog. Ideal for an older person living alone.
Super light to walk on the lead and very loyal. He would love a little yard or garden to play in. He loves all dogs. May chase a cat if it runs but will do no harm. My cats put him in his place and he now does not bother them.
He does need to be sedated by your vet to be shaved but most vets have an in house groomer these days, as he does not like to be brushed.
He loves treats and will beg for one and sadly he is still begging for a home....

Bosco an ex Monaghan pound boy is hoping he may get a home offer 🤞

Bosco is 3 yrs old. A pointer/sighthound mix. He is a large well built boy. A picture of health with a very shiny coat. He is just beautiful.
He loves all dogs and on meeting new friends his tail goes mental. We tested him with cats and he ignores them. I feel he may chase for fun but not harm so if you have cats, once they are dog confident.
I can do videos for you if your are serious about a home offer.
He is very confident and fears nothing. You could walk him in a busy city with ease.
His personality is very sweet and kind natured. Very clever and quick to learn.
He loves our younger volunteers in their teens as he loves to chase and play ball and would suit a family too.
He can be strong on just a slip lead but with the harness too, he is super to walk.

He is also ready to travel to a UK home offer.

Zena is also finally ready to look for a home (mum of the pups )
Mena fostered her from day one when she came from the pound heavy in pup so she has beautiful manners and is fully housetrained.
Zena is roughly 3 years old.
So sweet and very loving.
Loves everyone she meets and greets them for cuddles.
She loves to play fetch and will keep it up until you get tired.
She would love a family with her own personal ball thrower or plenty children to play with.
She loves to be touching you when when your sitting down her paw in your hand and she’ll sleep away.
Zena loves all dogs and is very socialised.

Roxy ( The mum of the pups ) is finally ready to find a home.
She has been in foster with Mena since day one so you can expect a very well mannered housetrained little dog.
Roxy is roughly 4 years old.
She is so affectionate and loving. Loves her cuddles and belly rubs.
She loves to play ball and run off with it so ye get to place chase.
She would love a home where there is some one most of the time as she loves the company of humans and other dogs.
Roxy is relaxed and easy going but also has a fun side too.

Last night as Courtney and I were cooking. This lovely cat climbed in the window. Courtney caught her and we put her in a crate. Shes very thin and hoovered down a tin of cat food without stopping.
She has no chip. A neighbour told me when she was walking her dog yesterday evening she noticed a car stop outside my gate and when they drove off she saw the cat. So I am presuming she was dumped for me to find? But just incase the real owner didnt dump her, if you are missing her please pm our page. If nobody comes forward we will start her vet work.
So 17 souls in total taken in yesterday.

This is what we call a drive-by in rescue. No appointment. Just a car to rock up but hey can you take these six kittens we dont want 🙈
Of course I had to say yes.... they were to otherwise be released 😔
Thats the last thing we need. Six more out breeding even more unwanted kittens.
God help me get through today. Thankfully we stay open much longer hours then most or else these six would not be here safe tonight.

Six more souls to fundraise for that need all their vet work done.

These three soul were to be put to sleep today if we could not take them in. They had asked a lot of people to take them but because they are Pitt babies, nobody would make emergency room 🥲

I took one look at this photo that was sent to me and told Tina. Start the van and go get them before they end up in the wrong hands. I just didnt trust them to be delivered here, especially over 90 mins away with a three hour round trip .

Look at the ikkle beautiful faces that never asked to be born.....
I hope you all agree with my decision to take them. Id not sleep tonight knowing a hot needle is all they had coming for
them. I want them to know the rescuers and their armies are real 💔

Three more to fundraise for that need all their vet work done if you can spare a little something? They promise they will be good pups if you just help them make it out. The dark world is enough to frighten the strongest of adult dogs so you can imagine what it is like for innocent babies.

Lola is so terrified she just wont let go of Aine 💔

I just want to give you one example of what us rescuers hear and witness. As you know there is many. This is just one intake case.

She came with no name and he said she answers to dog. As she clung to the ground, shaking beside his boots wetting herself. Soaking her legs, belly and tail. With a part of an old clothesline as a collar and lead.

“ Shes gun shy and useless. I paid good money for her and she even has papers. All she wants to do is hide at the back of the bales in the shed. Wont even come out to the children. So its not my fault it must be some nervousness in her breed.
So I said I’ll get my money back by breeding her. J***s she was useless at that too. The first litter she had no milk. They all died. The second litter she kept breaking out and leaving them. We would have to go looking for her only to get abuse from the neighbours after she ripped apart their bins. Only one lived from that litter. The third litter she only had three. Two were born dead or she must have lay on them. The third lived for about a week. Ah to be honest. I never had such a bad dog. Ive been badly burnt with this one”

As I lifed this poor soul into my arms away from him not caring how soaked she was in her own urine. Her skinny, hungry body pressing into my arms as she held me so tight with her paws.... I carried her inside and didnt look back or give him the time of day. I feel if I did. Id not hold back.

She is roughly 5 yrs old and has never seen a vet or had even a worm treatment.
Lola is so under weight and I just cant wait to feed her.
I dont think I have to explain to you all why her pups never lived or why she kept breaking out to attack the neighbours bins or why she hated her ‘existence’ in that place.

But what I do know is without rescues like us all over Ireland. Lots of Lola’s never get to make it out or ever see love or light.

This poor Mum and her kittens were rescued by a lovely couple.
They too, have just arrived.
In time. All will need to be chipped, vaccinated plus booster, treated for parasites and Mum will need to be spayed.

Can I ask all our cat lovers if they could come forward and chip in? We would also like to be able to buy a high quality kitten formula food as she is nursing which is high in fat, calories and protein. Expensive yes but more milk will be produced for her kittens and poor Mum will be a lot healthier too.

Charlie has just arrived. Owner surrender.
He comes with a 50 eu donation.

The owner rescued him from a pound and she quickly found out he does not like children and he guards his home and family.
Please no negative comments. This is not her fault and she has done the right thing as she is surrounded by children.

Its Friday. The day we take in what we can and hope to god they get the support they need so we can keep our gates open.

This little girl comes with no vet work and a 25 eu donation. The vet work she needs before she can look for a new home will be over 300 eu...... thats without food or care for the coming weeks.

Yet again we’re finding ourselves limping through week by week so dire is the situation with animal cruelty and abandonment in Ireland. The bills too keep coming in for us taking care other peoples dogs, dogs that have no home because they’re no longer wanted or of use and of course, the cruelty cases. We just feel as if we’re making it through and then BOOM! another bill lands and it’s always higher than expected. Zuri

Five days ago we rescued this poor little soul and shared her rescue with you all. She was rushed straight to our vet where he literally fought to save her life and he did. She stayed in intensive care for five days. Of course every day our bill climbed higher and this is only one more example. We have many examples why our vet bill never stops climbing out of control. At the time we shared her rescue with you all..... she only raised slightly under, one hundred euro. Just 10% of what is outstanding for her. This is just another example of why I have to constantly beg for funds, for someone else’s animal. Next I will show you the miracle dog she has become in just five days that we have named Zuri. Ex hunting dog

We were told they had him out hunting and his throat cut is the result...... with a massive vet bill and a long stay in his care to save his life of course they dont want the bill and we have said you wont be getting him back. This poor dog 💔 We are being hit hard with dogs that need massive surgeries and costly veterinary care at the moment. Any support you can give means we can continue to keep saving them. Clover

Clover is just the softest soul. How anyone could let him suffer like this... he is only about 2 yrs old. Now with a full tummy. All his filthy matted hair removed. He’s had a warm bath and blow dry all the while he cuddled into us. You can see he knows.... he made it out 🐾

Iris

Update on Iris. Shes only about 9/10 mnts old. Its hard to even think of what she has suffered so far..... Iris now has a full tummy. She was been removed of all matted hair. Brushed and had a warm bath. Tonight her future begins 🐾

The update you have all been waiting for. So Jean Rowan started the ball rolling by taking almost a grand off our bill. Then you all chipped in and took another 1,000 eu off our bill and you bought us 1,459 eu work of new supplies to fill our bins and a pallet of shavings with two drums of disinfectant. Luna is really hoping one of you may offer her a home. She is 5 yrs old. A Rottie mix Lab. Has lived inside. She loves all dogs large and small but no cats. She is a pure cuddle monster. Sits, gives the paw and adores belly rubs. Who would not fall in love with Luna ❤️

Harry

Harry was also a young feral kitty. Now 7 mnts old he has all his vet work done. He now will let you pick him up for cuddles and he will need more time to adjust but he is getting more affectionate by the day. Would anyone give him a chance?

Sally came as a feral kitty. Now 8 mnts old she has all her vet work done and is ready for a home. We have her now getting used to being lifted up but she will need more time to become your perfect house cat. She is litter trained and very social with other cats. Would you give her a chance?
