As another busy covering season has come and gone we felt it only fitting to give a mention to one of the original stallions that came into the yard
Murvey chelton sadly but gracefully passed away last October (2023) it can only be described as a weird season without your head popping over the door all summer!! we can only reflect on all the good times and memories he left us with!
It's hard to explain to someone who doesn't have ponies exactly how part of the family they become... but for you who do understand , you know exactly the heartache that is involved!

At 17 years young he thought us so much about working with stallions and covering mares and showing! He always loved getting out to a show & definitely enjoyed showing of!
He brought many people & lifelong friends into our life over the years! What its all about!

What a day it was for drumcrave stud at Ballinalee Connemara Pony Show yesterday!

3 foals braved the day , who's sires are resident stallion's with us - two fillies and a c**t!
With all 3 foals finishing up in the top two places,and two of them going on to take champion foal and reserve champion

After a lovely few days away at HOYS, it's back to reality!

This time it was "Coral Bambi" time to shine, our resident stallion winning a prestigious award for Connemara sire of the year 2021 kindly sponsored by kellythorpe stud

It was only a privilege to accept this award, and for a stallion who never stepped in to a show ring in his life, to gain this kind of recognition on progeny alone speaks volumes!

Coral bambi is a class one stallion by coral Ross and was bred by the Bolger family at ' Coral Connemara Ponies' who's name needs no introduction to the showing and breeding circuit!

We would just like to express our gratitude to all the owners and producers of bambi's off spring! Without your hard work and dedication for producing theses ponies to such a high standard this award wouldn't have been possible!

All the hard work was worth it!
