Beautiful 12 week old Fiadh showing off her tricks after receiving her vaccinations 🩷
We removed this tick from a cat this week😳
Ticks can pose a serious threat to our pets and their health. Tick infestations most commonly occur in animals out in long grass or wooded areas and can spread diseases like Lyme disease. To help prevent your pet from getting infected with a tick-borne disease, it is always advised to check your dog for ticks after spending time outdoors or to check your cat for ticks if they are indoor/outdoor cats.
Aside from knowing where ticks hide, it’s important to take proactive measures to prevent tick bites in the first place. The best way to do this is to talk with us about prescription flea and tick prevention, which come in the form of spot-ons, sprays or tablets.
This gorgeous boy was very happy to see our nurses today for a check up after his surgery. He especially loved an ear scratch 🥰
Hard to get much work done with this handsome little guy around! 😍
Hedgeward Hog has been recuperating with us for the past few days. Here he is loving his breakfast this morning! 🦔
This friendly entire male cat was found straying in Boreen Road in Straffan this afternoon. He is not microchipped. Please like and share to see if we can find an owner.
Bruce, Anne and Michelle were in last night for their second vaccines. They are currently being fostered by our good friend Lisa from Luckys Cat Rescue, and will be going to their new homes next soon. Aren't they the cutest!
Any ideas why Paddy decided to give them these names when they first came in last month ? There were two other kittens in the litter, called Eartha and Julie, if that helps (they are already with their new homes).
This is Heidi (she's a little camera shy). She was in today for her check up and first vaccinations, passing with flying colours. Just not a fan of publicity clearly!
Socks was in with us this morning for 1st vaccination and microchipping. He was in hospital a few weeks ago with a high temperature but had made a full recovery and you can see how lively he is now! We here at BVC promote microchipping of cats as the most reliable form of identification there is and the best chance for reunification if your cat goes missing. If you would like to know more please contact us on 016270402 or email us at [email protected].
This adorable bunch of kittens were in for check ups tonight. A few of them had high temperatures so we've delayed vaccination until we check them again next week. Four boys and two little girls. All will be looking for homes once well enough to go so keep an eye out for updates on this page.
