Rosie is a 6yr old bull terrier than came into our care for rehoming.

She is a loving happy lady who adores tlc time πŸ₯°

Being a tripod doesn't stop her or slow her down, she loves being out & about. Rosie can be reactive around other dogs so she would best suit a home with no other dogs.

Rosie has now been spayed so is ready for a home where she will be loved. She is micrchipped, etc.

No time for kidding around now with the first orphan of 2025 arriving into our care on Saturday.

Little Bleethoofen, as he is now known, was found stuck in a crevice by 2 men out walking in the Burren.

He has taken to the bottle well and his conjunctivitis is clearing up nicely πŸ‘Œ

DAFM are introducing a new Equine Traceability System which will be based on returns from the Equine Census. This year’s Equine Census in Ireland takes place on the night of Saturday the 30th of November 2024.

We have received correspondence regarding this new Equine Traceability System from the Department of Agriculture stating the following:

"To improve equine traceability, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine is introducing a new equine traceability system.

The new system will be based on equine census returns; it is therefore critically important that all people keeping equines complete a census."

While Storm Ashley passed relatively gracefully over much of County Clare last week, it reaped havoc at the Burren Animal Rescue Centre in Tubber, destroying a barn and threatening the centres critical supply of winter fodder. The storm ripped through the roof of the large barn, tearing apart concrete block walls and damaging a number of metal pillars. This leave the registered charity in a precarious position, facing a costly rebuild as they also face into the difficult winter season for their animals....

We have offers of physical help but until we have building supplies we are stuck in limbo with no haybarn ... https://www.burrenrescue.com/haybarn-destroyed-begging-bowl-out/ 🫢🀞

Storm Ashley found a weakness in the structure of our haybarn knocking pillars, sections of walls and sending the 20ft x 40ft roof onto trees beside the barn.
