Equestrian Tai Chi & Tao Riding

Equestrian Tai Chi & Tao Riding Online Equestrian Tai Chi Training for Equestrians, Riding Instructors and Therapeutic Riding Instruc She has been teaching since 2002. Jenny Pim was born in Co.

Jenny Pim is a Certified Tai Chi Instructor, registered with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain. She's a Certified Riding Coach, registered with Horse Sport Ireland. She's been involved with horses all her life, owning and breeding many wonderful Connemara ponies. She started practicing Tai Chi on her own ponies and noticed how much they enjoyed it and how it seemed to calm some of the more nervo

us ponies. They showed many of the typical signs that they were happy and content, such as softening their eyes, lowering their heads and resting a hind leg. Jenny also noticed how it helped her feel more settled and more connected to everything, particularly Nature. She bonded more with the ponies and they seemed calmer and happier in their daily lives. The ponies seemed to enjoy connecting on an energetic level. Realising the benefits of practicing Equestrian Tai Chi (as she called it), to both herself and her ponies, and to her connection with them, she developed a programme for teaching people Equestrian Tai Chi, who had no previous knowledge of Tai Chi. Wexford, Ireland. She attended Newtown School in Waterford, a boarding school run by The Society of Friends, before going on to study Irish language and Greek and Roman Classical Civilization in Trinity College Dublin. She then went on to study Archival Science in University College Dublin. She worked on the private papers of Lord Killanin, President of The International Olympic Committee, before moving to London, where she worked for a short while in the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. She then went to work for Christie's the Art Auctioneers in King Street, London. It was while she was at Christie's in the middle of the Art boom in the late eighties and early nineties, that she became interested in the Far East and its culture. This led to her learning Tai Chi and later becoming an instructor.

Sometimes when we look in our horses eyes or sometimes we sense when we’re near them, that they have access to this wildness and freedom inside, somehow we sense that being near them, we can access this wildness and freedom inside ourselves. They have a sense of mystery for us.

In Taoism there are two approaches of being, one is the realm of the Tao and the other is the realm of Mankind.
The horse is naturally aligned with the realm of the Tao and we are with the realm of Mankind.
If we bring our horse into our realm, we subject him to the noise and bustle and pressure of our world.
Whereas he has more affinity in the sense of timelessness of the Tao, going with the flow, doing things in an easy relaxed way and being spontaneous, being able to adapt and move with the Tao.
Tao Riding is a program that is about us, learning to move into the horses realm, or the realm that is natural to him.

It’s opening for registration again next week!

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and a good evening this evening!
I hope 2025 will be a peaceful year for humans that these wars in the world end.
I also hope that it will be a good year for horses and that they are respected as sentient beings not just tools for our egos, that they never be beaten by anyone anymore.
Humans are not protected by the so called people in charge and neither are horses, they suffer and their perpetrators get away with it with no retribution.

How do they get away with it?

I hope 2025 will be a year when horses are not made suffer to satisfy peoples egos, that babies do not die of the cold and children of starvation, that we all together can make this a safer world.

Happy New Year!

The Heart-Mind is regarded as being very important in Taoism. It is much more than just a combination of our emotions and our head, as the translated name in English might imply. It is where our knowing and intent comes from before thought or language is formed.

The Heart-Mind has increasingly subtle levels of awareness. It is through our Heart-Mind that we can perceive our Essence and our connection with the Tao.

Our Heart-Mind is how we mediate and experience, our relationship with everything.

Working with energy can open our Hear-mind and allow more connection with our horse.

Tao Riding is opening for registration on Monday. This Tao Riding Program is for riders who would like for them and their horse to feel safe and united together riding, to communicate and connect through energy riding and to ride as one united energy in harmony with the flows of the Universe.
It is also for us to work on clearing our karma, so we can be energetically and spiritually free, not controlled or oppressed by energy that is not helpful to us.
Often there is something in us and our horse that is the same, that we may even have been drawn together to heal in each other or to share experiences together that we might never have had the chance to otherwise.
If you'd to be sent the information about Tao Riding on Monday, please click below!

The Interactive Equine Tai Chi Program is open for registration.

Interactive Equine Tai Chi is a way for a student and teacher to practice Tai Chi together near horses or just a student to practice on their own near a horse if appropriate.

This program is for Equine professionals who have a passion for helping horses and humans to heal together.

The horse benefits from the students practice and in turn the student benefits from the presence of the horse, and the horses balanced energy from the Interactive Equine Tai Chi practice.

Interactive Equine Tai Chi is for the horse as well as the human.

I developed this way of practicing with my student Zion.

Interactive Equine Tai Chi gives people the opportunity to be with horses and to enjoy their beautiful energy, while at the same time doing something that is helpful and healing for both of them.

Horses can get very unsettled in the wind. In Taoism there is a saying that the wind blows our chi away. Maybe this is a reason why horses feel unsettled, they can't feel their etheric field around them so clearly and its protective presence. I have found that connecting to our horse through chi flow walking to be helpful in keeping our horse with us.

I'm delighted to have started Module 1 of Tao Riding today and looking forward to working with the people and ponies. Helping ourselves helps our horses too as they are so sensitive to our energy, when we have blocked energy relating to fear and anxieties about the past and projections about the future, it separates us from the energy of our true selves and our horse from his true self. Then we can't connect, as true connection happens in the energy of our essence and the Tao. In Tao Riding we return to ourselves, where we came from, us and our horse together.

The next run of Tao Riding is For riders who want to deepen their connection with their horse, and to keep themselves and their horse calm by uniting and communicating through energy.

This is a special program just for riders, it is not a program for people who teach riding.

This program might suit people who have been nervous riding for a while and would like to learn a way of riding that is calming and balancing, both for themselves and their horse.
In the program we let to let go of the trauma energy that keeps us scared and separate from ourselves and our horse, that triggers us and affects us both in a loop together.
We learn how to not traumatise ourselves riding.
We learn to manage our emotions riding and on the ground,
We learn how to communicate and connect through energy with our horse.

This is not a horse training program for difficult horses as you would need professional help in person on the ground with that, especially if you are nervous, or novice.
It is not a riding teaching riding program, but we do learn some classical principles injected with energy.

It begins on the 28th of October!

I think one of the key things to understand about horses is that they have much more ability in sensing energy than we do and they are very much affected by it!

Our energy is not spontaneously open like the horses, so we do not have the natural ability to feel chi flow in our bodies like the horse does.

The horse is even able to sense chi flow in other being's bodies as well. This is something that I have noticed in my Equestrian Tai Chi and Tao Riding as One practice.

With training, it is possible for us to develop our energy and our awareness of it, so we become more equal in energetic awareness with our horse and can therefore develop an energetic partnership.

When we develop our energy, our awareness of it increases and we can begin to feel our energy flow in our bodies.

Our horse can sense this chi flow in us as we ride and when we can sense it too, it forms a connection between us and gives us a common focus.

I think developing our ability to do this is important, because horses love to connect through energy and movement, it is a natural way for them to be in flow and to feel inside another's body.

When we develop this ability in us, we become more like them energetically and more compatible with them.

This is one of the key things we learn in Tao Riding As One.
