Make the Start. Keep Showing Up.
🎉2026 is the year of consistency, not perfection.
1️⃣ One walk. One session. One calm moment at a time.
Your dog doesn’t need tougher rules 👉they need your patience, presence, and practice.
❣️Show up daily. Build trust. Watch the transformation.
Let’s make this the year your dog learns, listens, and thrives. 🐾

🐶In dog training, fallout refers to the unintended emotional and behavioural consequences of aversive methods.

🥺The behaviour might change but the dog’s feelings, confidence, and relationship with their human often change too. And those lessons can last far longer than the training session itself.

👩🏻‍🏫Modern behavioural science consistently shows that fear-based methods create predictable harm, while reward-based training supports welfare, learning, and trust.

Do you train your dog positively? 🙋‍♀️

Our methods are based around the principles of positive reinforcement 👉 they go by a few other terms including the “Humane Hierarchy”, “LIMA”, etc.

This is both because we morally disagree with using aversive tools to train dogs and because the science tells us welfare centred and positive reinforcement based approaches are best 🫶

We’ll be sharing a more detailed article on our website soon on the dangers of aversive training methods ⬇️

Don’t overlook adolescence 👀

Our group classes for adolescent dogs and their owners were our 2nd most popular class this year!

Proving that training isn’t done after puppyhood ends 👉 in fact that can be where the real work begins.

These 5 week courses are for dogs between the ages of 6 months and 3 years as this is, behaviourally speaking, when adolescence generally begins 🐾

We only have 1 spot left in our January 2026 class so book soon if you’d like the spot 📲

Many dog guardians mistake growling, freezing, or running away with items as “control” or “defiance.”
But the truth?
Resource guarding is rooted in fear, uncertainty, and emotional safety, not disobedience. 🐾
Understanding helps us respond with compassion, not confrontation. When dogs feel safe, supported, and heard, guarding behaviours naturally decrease. 🧠💛
