🐾 Meet our patient! 🐾 Bandit was in with us this week for a Dental assessment under anesthesia. He had X-rays of all his teeth which showed us two of his teeth needed to be removed due to dental disease.
Bandit will be feeling much better now these sore teeth are gone! 10/10 Brave Boy 💚 😺

The handsome British Shorthair Ralph visited us this week for a dental procedure! Ralph had a full mouth examination and X-rays of all his teeth to check for any hidden dental disease under the gum line. Look how long those canine teeth roots are!

As the weather warning is currently in place from 3am-10am Friday morning(24/01/25), Sunbeam Veterinary Hospital and Sunbeam Kinsale Road, Passage West and Cobh, will delay our opening time to 1pm to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. Please keep an eye on our socials as this may change depending on changing weather warnings. ✅ Storm Safety Tips for Your Pets:

✅ Create a Safe Space - Set up a quiet, cozy area where your pet can feel secure.

✅ Check Medications & ID - If your pet takes medication, ensure you have enough supply. Also, make sure their collar and microchip info are up to date.

✅ Avoid Going Outside - Walk dogs before the storm hits and keep cats indoors. Never leave pets outside during severe weather.

✅ Calm Anxiety - Play soft music or white noise to help mask the sound of thunder. Pheromone diffusers or anti-anxiety medications may also help. Please contact us if you think these may benefit your pet.

✅ Stay Close & Comfort Them - Your presence can be the best reassurance for a scared pet. Stay calm, and they'll feel safer too!

🐾 CT scan in action! The lovely Leo came to visit us to have a CT scan to investigate a weakness in his back legs 🐾
CT scans provide highly detailed, cross sectional images of a pets body allowing us to see structures such as bones, organs and soft tissues more precisely than with traditional X-rays.
Leo was such a good boy and we wish him all the best with his recovery 🙏🏻💚
