Impulse control session with Rocky
Dog training - impulse control session with Rocky
Bruce is terrified by loud noises and fireworks. Like many other dogs, the Halloween season is a nightmare for him and he is usually very distressed, shaking and crawling under tables to hide. 2 years ago he was so afraid during the fireworks he tried to escape a room and injured himself trying to get through a closed door :-((( But this year I was able to keep him relaxed using essential oils. This is the beauty of applied zoopharmacognosy 😊
Happy Gotcha Day
Happy Gotcha Day Bruce 🥳 4 years ago today I found you bag of bones terrified of everything…You are living your best life now and you certainly deserve it 😊
Is your dog not coming when called? When it comes to get your dog to come back to you, you need to think like your dog and understand what motivates them and why they will decide to come when called or not. Here are the 3 common mistakes dog owners make... so you can avoid making them 😉

Dogs have their own body language and when meeting other dogs, they communicate in a very specific way.
Being able to read your dog's body language will prevent situations from escalating and avoid potential aggressive encounters. Do you want to learn more about canine body language and calming (stress) signals dogs may display? Check our full video: https://youtu.be/I2DHFRmKWAI
Charlie the rescue collie has been with us 5 months now and has made so much progress. Now that he is more settled we have really been able to start the healing process with him. Lately we have been working on giving him more support for his gut, his noise sensitivity and we have also started working on slowly releasing the emotions linked to his past (trauma). This is why applied zoopharmacognosy is amazing. It can help in so many ways. Charlie loves his sessions 🐾 And we love him 😍
Getting prouder of this boy day by day… Charlie is now able to walk with Bruce. It was totally impossible weeks ago, because he would react to any dog outside. Of course he is still muzzled and still a work in progress. But he is slowly learning to trust the outside world. We also found out that he had an issue in his gut and he has been on customised probiotics for the last 2 weeks. He is in great form now. I have no doubt the issue in the gut played its part in his reactivity. It is hard to be happy and friendly when you are not feeling well… it is the same for us. But when it comes to our dogs we have the tendency to forget that… Healing takes time… Working with a reactive dog: baby steps day by day, but eventually weeks after you realise how far you’ve come 😉
Happy Easter to all our friends and furry friends 🐣 Don’t forget to give an egg to your dog, it is full of nutrients and good for them 🐶 And yes, raw and shell included, just as Bruce demonstrated 😂

Teaching your dog to walk nicely on leash is something that needs to be built up. You can’t expect your dog to walk loosely on leash the first time you put one on them, they might more than likely pull or not follow. In order to improve your dog’s walking skills, you first need to teach them to focus on you, without putting a leash on them first. The 5 following exercises will help you
Took Charlie for a small break at the sea… Verdict: don’t think water is his thing… but as an anxious dog it is so important that he gets used to different environments
