🐾 Winter Paw Care Tips for Your Dog! 🐾
❄️ Here's how to keep those paws safe and healthy during winter walks:

🦶 Check Your Dog’s Paws Regularly
Look for signs of cold-weather injury like cracked paw pads or bleeding. If your dog suddenly starts limping during a walk, it might be due to an injury or ice buildup between their toes. You can help reduce ice ball accumulation by trimming the hair between their toes. ✂️

🧂 Protect Paws from Salt
The salt and chemicals used to melt snow and ice can be harsh on your pet's feet. Always wipe their paws with a damp towel after walks to prevent irritation or accidental licking.

Keep those paws happy and healthy this winter! 💖🐾

As the winter weather sets in, many of us use de-icer /antifreeze to keep our vehicles running smoothly. But did you know that antifreeze is highly toxic to dogs and cats? 🐶🐱
Its sweet taste can attract pets, and even a small amount can cause severe kidney damage or be fatal if ingested.
If you think your pet has ingested antifreeze, get them to a vet immediately! ⏰

As a new year begins we unfortunately are saying goodbye to our Head nurse, Grace, from the Bluestack Team.
Grace has been with us from day one and has been an absolute asset to the practice and a friendly face that everyone was always so happy to see! She has been a fountain of knowledge for all of us and a great friend.
Grace has decided she fancies a new challenge away from Veterinary. We wish her all the best in her new endeavours however, she will be sorely missed !

We would like to wish everyone a happy New Year and a massive thank you to everyone who has once again continued to support us throughout 2024 ❤️

And what a year it has been! With the establishment of our Ballybofey clinic, new additions to our growing team, and expansion of our services, we could only wish to thank everyone who has helped and supported us grow and expand since our opening in 2021 🙏🏻

From animals of all sorts and sizes, calls near and far, from the good days and the bad days, we have had a an exciting and busy year filled with many memories, stories, laughter and tears!

We can not wait to see what 2025 has to offer and we are looking forward to sharing this exciting journey with all of you 🤩

A great guide of what can be harmful and safe for our pets this festive season 🎅🎄

Even though some foods are safe for your pet, they can still cause tummy upsets leading to vomiting and/or diarrhoea if it's new to them 🤢 Sometimes it's best to stick to what they're used to!
