We received very sad news this morning that dear sweet Taylor crossed over the Rainbow Bridge unexpectedly this week. Taylor was with us since he was a puppy and always had a special place in our hearts, its because of dogs like him that we keep going through the tough days.
We are sending his wonderful kind owners loving thoughts as we know he will be missed and he was so well cared for and loved. 😢🌈🐾❤️

As usual Taylor the Shihtzu brought lots of happiness to the parlour today. We love to see our older regulars like Taylor who have had some health issues but continue to enjoy being groomed and pampered.

We will be taking a break from March 25th to April 2nd inclusive. all messages, calls, texts will be replied to when possible to do so. We will continue to prioritise our wonderful regulars as we are down a groomer for the foreseeable future.

Sadly this is all too true. We are seeing so many dogs with health issues due to overbreeding or unregistered breeding of so called designer dogs with behavioural and health issues.
We are so lucky to have people like those at West Cork Animal Group to care for and support all the unwanted dogs.

To any new prospective customers, please be aware when contacting us of the following;
1. The minimum wait time for appointments is 14 days, however, we will always prioritise our regular customers.
2. We are by appointment only
3. When busy we cannot answer the phone, please leave a voicemail if you want to make an appointment or txt/what’s app/ messenger etc.
4. We ask a number of questions to understand your dog and your grooming needs. We are here to groom dogs and need to be sure your dog will be happy with us.
5. We are a small family business and not a production line and can only take so many dogs a day, hence the wait for appointments.
6. We are not a kennels and as a small business have strict times for drop off and pick up
7. We ask that you contact us if you will be late or need to cancel, due to a lot of no shows recently we will ask for a deposit where necessary. We will cancel an appointment after 15mins of the allotted time if you do not advise you may be late or need to cancel and you will forfeit the deposit. No shows cause delays for other dogs to be groomed and waste time.
8. Be patient with us, we do this because we love dogs and we will not entertain rude or aggressive humans. Please be kind in communications.

Here we go again, it’s Saturday on a bank holiday and people think it ok to call and wander around our property uninvited and without an appointment. We do not open on bank holiday weekends and have not done so for over 10 years.
If you are looking for an appointment and leave a message we will return your calls and texts.
Most of the year we work 6 days a week and are entitled to a break when we need to take one.

To anyone looking for a last minute appointment - please contact us on 0872023444. We are trying to help everyone we can before the holidays though we are fully booked but we are getting frustrated with all the time being wasted on those booking and then cancelling while contacting multiple groomers. It is extremely busy this time of year for everyone and all we ask is for some common courtesy please. 🙏🏻

We will be taking a break after next week to rest and re energise after a difficult year. The next appointments are available from November 25th. Please note December slots are limited and are on a first come first served basis, we always encourage booking from one appointment to the next. We will not be keeping a waiting list any longer as no shows and those expecting us to kennel dogs has made it unmanageable.
We are both looking forward to seeing our favourite fur babies very soon. 🐾🐶💖

All has been hectic lately with only one of us grooming so I have not posted much. However, I had to post a pic of one of our favourite long term regulars, Rin who had been away on holidays for a few months. It’s great to see him and his owner home safe again! Of course he is back to his handsome self after a full groom this week.❤️

We were blessed last Saturday to have not one but two Phoebes in for a groom! Very different girls (Cockapoo & Cocker spaniel) but both angels to groom. It’s hard to have favourites when you meet dogs like these every day. ❤️
