🌡️🐕 With this beautiful sunny weather, we have to remind ourselves to be vigilant when walking our dogs or leaving our pets outdoors in the sun.

📣 Here are some recommendations on how to recognize heat stroke and what to do in case of emergency.

✔️ Normal re**al temperature for cats and dogs is about 38.6°C to 38.9°C.

✔️ Signs of heat stroke include skin that is hot to the touch, vomiting, drooling, rapid panting, distress, loss of coordination, collapse, and unconsciousness.

✔️ Remove the animal from the heat. Use cool water, ice packs, or wet towels to cool the head and body (especially on the belly).

✔️ Take the animal to a veterinary clinic as soon as possible.

✔️Offer small amounts of water after the pet has begun to cool down. Do not immerse the animal in cold water.
