🎄 🎁 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒆𝒃𝒐𝒙 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒍 🐶 🐾

This Christmas , we want each dog in our care to have a present to open on Christmas morning 🎅 Similar to last year, where we had a fantastic response from the public, we are asking for those who can, to fill a shoebox full of goodies so each dog can feel part of the festive spirit & feel the love 🐾 ♥️

💡 Ideas for the shoeboxes;

⚜️ Treats
⚜️ Toys - 🧸, rubber chews, rope toys, squeakies
⚜️ Tinned wet dog food
⚜️ Dog Collars - All sizes
⚜️ Anything you think that may brighten a dogs day 🫶🏽

For those who are not able to do a shoebox - We take (old & new) towels , blankets , fleeces , vet bed , tinned wet dog food, dog beds, collars , leads , harnesses 🫶🏽 We find a job for almost anything & if we don’t, we pass onto other rescues so nothing goes to waste 🐶 🐾

🎄 Shoeboxes / donations can be brought directly to the Hub, eircode D11YV8K or if in Dublin area potentially a collection point can be made based on interest 🎁

Let’s make this Christmas a special one for our dogs 🐶 🐾 🎄

✨ Introducing the fabulous Mr 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝑱𝒂𝒄𝒌 🖤 🐾 He is approx 1-2 year old, lab x (?) rottie, who came into our care as a stray & has sadly not been re-claimed 🥺

Black Jack has been an absolute joy since he arrived at the Hub, he is such a friendly, loving boy who just yearns for human attention 🥰 It is quite obvious that kennel life is not for him, he is quite stressed & wants to be out by your side all of the time 😢

Black Jack is great to walk on the lead & loves getting out on his little adventures 🫶🏽 He has basic training with the ability to learn so much more & he’s treat driven too which is an extra bonus 🦴 Black Jack doesn’t appear to have been socialised with other dogs too much, it may be the stress of kennel life but we feel he would be best re-homed as an only doggo for now 🐶

Black Jack really is a stunning boy, he has so much love & affection to give. He’s a playful lad too & adores playing fetch with his ball 🎾 He’s the ultimate cheeky chappy who gives all of his attention to the person he is with, this boy deserves a fresh start in life , a new chapter with a loving family & a cosy sofa to call his own 🫶🏽 We have no doubt that Black Jack will make the most loyal , loving best friend to someone very soon 🤞🏽 🖤 🐾

✨ 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑶𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒓 (formerly Milo) 💙 🐾 Our stunning Rottie boy Oscar has officially left the Hub & walked straight into the most amazing forever home we could have wished for 🏡 🥰

Oscar came into our care through no fault of his own as a surrender & it was soon quite evident that kennel life was not the place for him 😢 This social , loving boy was so stressed in kennels, he just wanted to be roaming free with you, helping ( watching 🤣) you do your daily chores - He was the sweetest guy !

Understandably it took some time for poor Oscar to settle & trust us fully … but with plenty of time, patience & LOTS of treats … we finally won him around 🥰 In return we got the most loving, cuddly big bear who just wanted to sit on your lap & get a good ole bum scratch 🫶🏽

As always with bigger dogs we worry we will struggle to re-home them & as Oscar was so stressed we knew we had to find his forever home as quick as we could ! Luckily for him, the most wonderful couple got in touch, who were highly experienced in re-homing rotties … we couldn’t believe it 🤩 When Aisling & Stephen came up to meet the big teddy bear there wasn’t a dry eye in the Hub & Oscar adored them from the minute they met 💙

Since leaving the Hub, Oscar has slotted into his new home like he was always part of the furniture 🫶🏽 He loves exploring his new neighbourhood & is making lots of new doggy pals on his travels 🐶 Although his absolute favourite is snuggling up with his parents on the sofa in the evening … sprawled across them both 🤣

Oscar - We miss you so much, all your big bear cuddles & sloppy kisses but we are so proud that you found the most amazing forever family who treat you like the king you are .. 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒹𝑒𝓈𝑒𝓇𝓋𝑒 𝒾𝓉 𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒷𝑜𝓎 👑 💙 🐾

♥️ Booked ♥️___So this is our best boy Dubh, and this post is a plea to all our followers to share wide and loud for him. He's only about 20 months old and has spent more than half his life in the shelter. It's ridiculous and so unfair. He's no longer happy. He's frustrated and sad, and like us, he has no idea why he's still here. Please let's find him his forever home for Christmas... It's getting desperate for the boy. What Dubh needs is someone with experience who can teach him life outside a kennel and help him settle. He can be overwhelmed otherwise. He just needs to learn how to be a pup 😢. Can you help? ❤️🎄🐕

Her bill is due to return to Dáil Éireann for it’s second stage on 17th of December 🇮🇪

⚜️ How you can help ? Contact your local TD & ask them to support Ruth in her bid to pass the Bill or atleast allow a free vote !

Linda has always been very vocal about animal cruelty, and along with all of the staff at the Hub - We wholeheartedly support Ruth as she stands up for animal rights in Ireland 🦊 💚 🐾

♥️ Booked ♥️__✨ Introducing the biggest goofball - 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 🩵 Chance is approx 10-12 month lab who came into our care as a stray & was sadly not re-claimed 🥺

Chance is such a fun boy, he has so much love & affection to give 🫶🏽 He adores being around people, running up for cuddles or a good game of fetch 🎾 He is an energetic lad, & has the most infectious personality you just can’t help but smile around him 🥰

Chance is great to walk on the lead, he can be strong at times but soon settles ☺️ He is non reactive with other dogs & could re-home with sibling dogs pending successful meet & greet 🐶 Chance has evidently not been taught the dog etiquette & has slim to nil training - He’s a clever boy though so with time & patience that will come. Due to his big, bouncy nature, he will only be re-homed to families with older children 🐾

Chance really is the most super boy, he is absolutely stunning & has the most amazing nature … he just appears to have been left to do as he wished during his younger months 🤣 We have no doubt that with the right family & direction, he will become the most amazing, clever doggo 🐶 Chance is far to young to be already looking to start his next chapter in life , but we have no doubt his forever home is just around the corner 🩵 🐾
