monty became our client as he was a terrorist on the grooming table because he was a little nervous , on meeting him i knew he would be fine even though mam was so worried ...... he did great on all of his grooms he came a gent on the table . im glad i had the privelidge to be your groomer monty 💚

3 weeks in and the 4 little babies are doing good , their getting the best care 💙💚

still on their bottle feeds and growing up fast as you can see the size difference 😂🐕

thank you to all who cared for them at village vets stillorgan 💙💚 and again to the huge caring community who offered help , donated food and funding to keep these poor babies in the best care 💛

The 5 puppies are doing ok with the intensive 24hr care from the staff Village Vets they are getting a little stronger , they are not out of the woods yet so keep them in your prayers 🙏

Goodmorning 💜

Firstly id like to say i hope everyones safe and well and well done to everyone abiding by the restrictions 💪 your pawsome 🐕 ( including the dogos )

So no doubt we have some hairy monsters out there at the moment 👇👇👇 but we will get them sorted very soon . we need to hold off just a little longer , as groomers are catagorised in phase 2 we will be aiming to REOPEN from the 8th of June 🤞🤞 seems miles away but have faith all will be ok 🤗 keep doing what your doing with the brushing , cooling your dog you can use : paddling pool 😂
: wet a towel and place in a shaded area 💙
: cooling mats ( from pet shop )
Anyone with major concerns pm me for advice .... together we can do this have faith in yourselves 🙏 staying apart a little longer is fixing the world 🌍 .... how awsome is that 💪💪

Going forward we will be rebooking anyone who was cancelled just before the lockdown , from there apps will be taken as normal . you can pm , txt or comment here for an app ( please allow 48hrs for a reply , its bank holiday 😂 )

On returning to work there will be changes :

● clients will call upon arrival

● you will be asked to wait outside and your dogo will be taken in by myself or staff member

● upon collection you will be called and asked to remain outside untill we greet you outside the building

☆☆ due to precautions grooms will take a little longer so we ask our clients now to have patients , we are all adapting to a new world and workplace ☆☆

Hide and seek isolation

Hide a seek for the pups .... use treats at low levels for beginners ... you can higher them and make it more fun by popping them under things .

Use a word " find " to let your dog know were finding..... praise them when they find 👏

If they don't find after a short time restart the whole find .... don't let them see obviously 😂😂😂 .

As your dog gets used to it and realises how much fun it is it will become a driven activity .

20 mins brain activity is equivalent to an hour's walk 🐕

Shake it up for the pups 💛💛 their in isolation too ☝️☝️

So go ......... FIND 😂😂

Hi guys

Due to further restriction we will be taking a 2 week break 🐕

Please don't panic as your dog will be ok , 2 weeks is not a long time in the grooming world of a dog 😂 enjoy your free time and stay safe .

If anyone is struggling or having an emergency please pm me here and we can work on it to the best of our abilities .

If anyone would like any brushing or eye trimming advice please shout out , we may be forced to close but we can still help in the background 🙏

Now is your time to shine and dust off your brushes 😂

Some tips :

Don't expect your dog to just roll over for brushing if it's never been a constant thing before . Introduce small amounts of brushing with yummy treats involved 💚

When brushing your dog ( depending on the coat type ) you will need to brush from root to tip .start on the inside make your way out ..... undercoat to outercoat ❤

Do not over brush your dogs hair in the same spot , this can cause brush burn . Up to 5 strokes and move on .... and you can go back and so forth 💛

When bathing your dog make sure they are relaxed , throwing your dog into the bath because the groomer is closed can be sometimes negative if it's not a constant reaccurance before this emergency . Again use positive reinforcement ( treats) and calmly proceed with the bath . Have your dog shampoo and conditioner ready to hand so your prepared . Don't use circle motions on curly COATED dogs as this will cause matting 💜

Nail clipping and eye trims give me a message privately ( I can guide you through it ) 💙

Eyesnots 😂😂 .... eye gunk can be removed easily . Warm water and cotton wool . If it has built up alot warm water bath it for a minute and using a mini comb ( knit comb) gently comb it down . Repeat the warm water after for cleaning the area . A tiny amount of Vaseline can be applied as a barrier to stop exsessive build up 🧡

Get out with your dog now for exercise !
Try some meditation with your dog it's a lovely connection of emotions on both human and canine ( dog meditation music is amazing )

Dogs are amazing therapy in themselves enjoy their company and let's let nature heal it's self whilst the world comes to a stop 🍀🐕❤❤

We are still open for now , we are using precautionary measures to ensure your safety and ours and your pooch 💖

For now we are taking bookings for this week , there is a couple left .

We will also take any booking for those who just need eye trims to keep you going .

We do ask if you or anyone does become sick that you cancel your app immediately for other people's safety .

We will advise you on our precautionary measures when you book in and we ask everyone please do not send your kids with the dog if possible .
