Sasha paid our Mobile Clinic in a visit for his first vaccinations😍 Yearly vaccines save pets’ lives. They are a simple, yet powerful tool that shield our pets from a range of preventable diseases. They are designed to save pets from unnecessary suffering and us from needless worry and expensive vet bills.
Why Vaccinate?
Prevention is Key: Vaccination is the best defence against diseases that can cause serious illness or even death in our pets. By keeping their vaccinations current, you're providing a shield against illnesses that could otherwise impact their well-being and cause their human friends a lot of worry.
Community Health: Vaccination not only protects individual pets but also contributes to the overall health of the pet community. By reducing the prevalence of infectious diseases, we create a safer environment for all pets.
Cost-Effective Care: Prevention is often much more cost-effective than treating a disease after it has taken hold. Regular vaccinations can save you money by avoiding the expenses associated with treating preventable illnesses.

As we are experiencing a 'mini heatwave', it is important to keep our furry friends safe and well. We have some good advice for keeping pets healthy in warm weather;
Do keep your dog indoors
Do make sure your dog has plenty of access to shade if outdoors
Do make sure there is plenty of fresh water available for your pet
Don’t take your pet out between 11am and 6pm on hot days
Do take your pet for a walk very early morning or very late evening when the sun has gone down in cooler temperatures
If your pet is older, overweight or brachycephalic take extra care on very hot days it may still be too warm early morning or late evening to take them out without risking heat stroke
If your pet is brachycephalic take extra care that they don’t overheat in warm weather, it doesn’t need to be a very hot day for a brachycephalic pet to get heat stroke out in the sun
Make sure the pavement/ground surface you’re walking your dog on is not too hot for your pet – don’t forget they don’t wear shoes!
Do play with your pet indoors and use interactive toys to keep them mentally stimulated
Never leave your pet in a car in hot weather in any situation

If you are adopting a dog consider a greyhound or a lurcher. These breeds often take longer to find new homes as many people think of these breeds as high maintenance and driven athletes requiring a huge amount of exercise and not as family pets. Contrary to popular opinion, these gorgeous dogs don’t need a lot of exercise and could be considered professional couch potatoes! More info👉https://t.ly/k9iXL 🐾 #

It’s grass seed (also called foxtail) season right now they can cause a lot of damage for our furry friends. They can puncture the skin and migrate, causing lots of infections. They can also work their way into eyes, ears and noses, causing huge discomfort for our pets. So;
• Keep pets away from long grassy areas
• Check their fur for any grass seeds when you get home - especially eyes, ears, nose, armpits and toes.
• Keep long-haired dogs trimmed or clipped and well-groomed
• If you notice any sore eyes/ears/paws contact your vet immediately - damage ranges from minor irritation to requiring surgery

Signs for eyes: weeping or red, pet pawing at eyes
Signs for ears: head shaking, pawing at ears
Signs for stuck in toes: swelling, lameness, bleeding.

Coco was with us recently - along with her Tick😳 During the summer months are plentiful, especially in wooded areas and parks. Ticks can make our furry friends very sick, causing lethargy and vomiting. They can also cause Lyme disease. Preventative treatments are available, so consult with your vet about the best one for your pet.
