Thank you for your generosity during our Honey Appeal! A total of €1000 was raised and divided equally between Médecins Sans Frontières and UNICEF.
A face like butter (or chicken!) wouldn't melt in his mouth! The adorable @iamjackthejack had cruciate ligament surgery last week and wasn't too sure whether he wanted to eat his chicken or just hold onto it after he woke up! The chicken was (eventually) eaten and Jack is recovering very well ❤️🩹
If your pet visits us for cardiology investigations, ultrasound is used to examine the structures of the heart and surrounding blood vessels. Electrocardiography (ECG) tests the rhythm and electrical output of the heart. This gentle giant is Cú, and he was very patient for his cardiac exam with our cardiologist Tom.
Intradermal testing is used to determine what environmental allergens, such as mites, pollens, or moulds, your pet may be allergic to.
Small amounts of allergens are injected under the skin and the response monitored.
After the reaction has been documented, allergen specific immunotherapy (ASIT) can be formulated for each patients specific needs. This will be given to help desensitise or decrease the severity of the reaction to these environmental allergens.

🛡️ This is a medicine made specifically for Hank, tailored to desensitise him to his allergies over the coming months and years.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🕒 As you can see, for a dog of Hank's size this means three small pumps beneath the tongue once daily. No food or water for ten minutes before or afterwards.

🦸🏼♀️ This is a great option for needle-shy patients who will benefit from environmental allergen desensitisation.
