Blackthorn has one Stable available from the 1st of May

Blackthorn has two stables available from the 1st of May facilities include 50 x 60 Showjumping arena 20 x 60 Dressage Arena 1 km long all wet cross-country course Horse Walker and lunging ring. And we also have amazing hacking at Blackthorn the use of hundreds of acres of forestry. We also have weekly and monthly clinics with top international riders in Showjumping and Dressage.

🐎 We offer full livery here at blackthorn and love the fact that we are a small private yard yet still offer the facilities you would find in larger yards.

🐎 We are 10 minutes from the M50, 5 minutes from the N7 and our Rathcoole/ Saggart location means we are easily reached from south Dublin , Kildare and Wicklow .

🐎 Our horses are turned out 365 days a year as we believe our equine pals need to be out as much as possible .

🐎 We have an international showjumping arena that has a professionally built course put up once a month , an international sized dressage arena and a 1km cross country course for clients to use . This is also available for external hire . We are very proud to have the very best professional instructors regularly visiting the yard for clinics and lessons.

🐎 As an added bonus we are situated next door to 400 acres of forest that provides absolutely stunning hacks .

Thank you so much to our amazing clients , friends and suppliers who made last week possible . We had the absolute best day launching the new facilities at Blackthorn . Our brand new 1km all weather cross country course was designed by one of Ireland’s top course designers , Derek Hamilton , and we couldn’t be prouder of it . The course is now available to hire for schooling and group & individual bookings . Our international sized dressage and showjumping arenas are also available for hire .
