Are you missing a gorgeous, Red Rumped parrot?

This little one was found straying for a couple of days in Rialto before two lovely locals got in touch via Kildare Wildlife Rescue looking for help in trying to catch him! jumped into action and brought him here for foster!

Nobody has reported this little one as missing so they will do their time here on foster before we look for a private rehoming.

Proof of ownership required!!!

When you really hoped you would never have to use your training! Today has been bonkers since 8am, taking reports of oiled birds every five minutes, organing our small but mighty team of volunteers, flying through dog walks and then straight out to join the rescue mission. I know I said I'd love a day at the beach, but this isn't what I had in mind. 🙈 Hiking beaches in hazmat suits is sweaty 🤣

edit: our two girls have been rehomed , wahoo. Just the boys left now.

2 female guinea pigs, 1 year+.
To be rehomed together or could join an all female herd.
Biscoff and Toffee were found dumped in a field in Leixlip emaciated, riddled with skin infections and open sores and pregnant. They have come on amazingly, have a clear bill of health and are ready for a 5 star home to call their own now! They adore their veggies and will popcorn with excitement when they get fresh bedding and a bowl of yummies. Biscoff is definitely the ring leader here, Toffee is a bit more reserved than her big sister!

2 male guinea pigs. 7 months.
To be rehomed together.
Jaffa Cake was born to mamma Biscoff and Cookie was born to Toffee and are half brothers. These boys will take a little bit of time to come around to new people but are gorgeous little boys, they eat well and are full of beans.

We do require to see where our adoptees will live to vet prospective homes but we are delighted to help with set up recommendations if you need it, just get in touch for a chat! We love the C&C grid set ups that are modular and allow you to build an enclosure to fit your space and you can even build a second level for extra floor space. (Recommendations 7.5 square feet (minimum), but at least 10.5 square feet (30” x 50”) is preferred.) We are based in Dublin 15 but may be able to help with a transport relay for a great home.

Now that we are technically in our quiet season, we are really hoping to build our team and to start recruiting new volunteers for our wonderful little rescue.

If this is something you would like to learn more about, Our volunteer coordinator, Niamh, is hosting an in-person information seminar on Thursday, November 30th, at 8 p.m. in Leixlip.

Additionally, Andrea will be hosting one at Balbriggan Library on November 29th at 6:30 p.m.

These seminars are a great opportunity to learn more about what we do and how you can get involved. If you’ve ever considered volunteering with us or wondered about how to volunteer with us, now is the time. We have a myriad of voluntary roles to suit various locations and abilities, and Niamh & Andrea will be more than happy to answer any questions at the seminars.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful clients who nominated me for both Dog Walker of the Year and Pet Sitter of the Year awards in the upcoming local pet awards.

Unfortunately to qualify for an official nomination you need to buy tickets to the awards ceremony which would cost nearly €500 to attend with a friend. It kind of just feels like we would be paying to receive an award over some of my other amazing colleagues who also do great work in our field which just seems a bit disingenuous and doesn't sit right!

Instead I have donated the price of my ticket between two amazing volunteer groups who I have much love for, and who do unbelievable work. Unfunded. If you would have voted for us maybe you could purchase something small from their amazon wishlist or donate the price of tomorrow's Friday coffee and cake instead.
