Look at that concentration coming from little Koda!
Was such a joy to meet her and her family, and help them help her become the perfect family member we know she can be.
We worked on a lot in our first session, and to see her excel in a short time is fantastic!
Keep it up

Wonderful rescue dog Buddy has landed on his feet, from being found by the wonderful Drogheda Animal Rescue, and a poor broken leg, and gone into a amazing foster, who now are his family. He is one lucky boy. This over excited boy is so smart and is learning to listen to his family, be calm and relaxed around the visitors and no more jumping and nipping. Am just delighted with his progress, and of course all training is positive, just what he needs!!

Bella was such a calm girl at her training appointment, the difference in afew weeks is amazing, no longer jumping up constantly and demanding attention, now relaxing when I talk to her mum! We worked on lead walking this session and she just smashed it!

Always be careful, cause if injuries to your dog is not worth it.

Always be careful, cause if injuries to your dog is not worth it.

A dogs neck is a very delicate part of their body!

The neck and cervical spine contain the spinal cord, this is where the nerves of the front legs originate. Excessive paw licking is quite often misdiagnosed as allergies when it is in fact pain.

Putting stress on the neck can cause painful disc damage and shoulder problems

A dog has the same number of vertebrae as a giraffe (think about that before choking a dog)

One of the most important structures of the nervous system "The Vagus Nerve" originates at neck level and this controls life essential organs like lung, heart, stomach, and intestinal tract.

The Thyroid gland is located in the neck. If this gets inflamed the immune system trys to remove the inflamed cells.
The destruction of the Thyroid gland cells can lead to hypothyroidism

Increased pressure put on the Jugular vein can cause seizures
Ear and Eye issues are significantly increased

Being je**ed on a lead causes whiplash and bruising.

The epidermis of a dog is only 3-5 cells thick
A humans is 10-15 cells thick

So WHY would anyone want to use a noose ....sorry I mean a slip lead?

A well fitted Y shaped harness is the safest and kindest peice of equipment to use.

The stunning Miss Lilly, this beautiful girl is on her 2nd home, so it’s so important that her new family find with her, and they are determined to turn her into the most wonderful dog we know she can be! For me it was a joy to train this girl, I just felt like I was training a baby Ella all over again.

Definitely double trouble week… or should I say twice the fun. ispíní and sceallóga (yes sausage and chips) have been so amazing to work with, they had there 2nd appointment and the amazing strides they have made is unbelievable. From the barking duo, to the calm cucumbers, no more barking through the night, at the doorbell or even at visitors!
Just stunning improvements.
Of course all positive based training.

There is no greater honour than being invited back into a home to train the latest member of the family. 7year old Sadie has got a new sister, 4month old Bonnie. Was such a pleasure to work with them both, it’s a great refresher course for Sadie and Bonnie is living up to her high standards. What a fantastic photo of them both working on staying in bed when visitors call, be definitely don’t want two big dog jumping up on everyone. Just little super stars.

3year old Lilly waiting patiently for her turn to join in with little 6month old brother Tipp, these over excited baby’s needed to learn to be calm, and listen to “mum” .
Was really great to wok with these two, and see the progress after just one session. Can’t wait to see how they improve. It’s important that both the client and the dog are comfortable, and we move at a pace that suits everyone. This is always why I feel the individual attention in a one-2-one works perfectly.

This is the face of a “PUPPY FARM” .
Susie had her 2nd training session, if I could call it that! The first time I called she hid under the sofa and would not come out, but with the work her owner put in, I got to see this little beauty on my second visit. She is still to scared to let me touch her and that’s ok, she is getting more confident by the day and is getting more confident well with her new family.
This little girl needs lots of time and patience, and we are happy to help her on every step of her journey.
Positivity every step of the way.

Cooper is very happy to be part of the CONFIDENT CANINE COURSE, he is just the sweetest boy ever, but he has to learn he can’t sit on everyone knee and jump up and lick all the visitors!
He is one of the best dogs ever, and with some more guidance, he is just the perfect family pet!

When I first met Eila, well…. She would not let me in her home! But… not only am I allowed in, she is so much more calmer, confident and her owner has so much more control. On our last visit we began with boundary control, and showing her she is not allowed to run out the door. As much as our control has improved, what is much more important is she is a happier dog, and even looked for a pet of me in our last session, what a turn around! Am absolutely thrilled with this wee girl!
Keep up the amazing work.
And of course only positive training methods used.

It’s so lovely to get feedback, and hear how the puppy are getting on. How kind of Winnie’s mums to leave me such a nice review.

“When we got our new pup Winnie we wanted to get off on the right foot and give her the foundations to be the best girl. We met Joanne in a local pet store by chance and straight away she had great tips for us. Off the back of meeting Joanne we booked in for 2 sessions with Winnie.
The two sessions were fantastic. Joanne was brilliant with Winnie. As new dog mums we probably learned as much as Winnie did. Winnie now has a great start in life and strong foundations to build on. We can't thank and recommend Joanne enough. There's lots more that Winnie can learn in the future and we're looking forward to Joanne guiding the three of us again.”
