Just want to share some words that hit home this week and acknowledge something that has happened in our personal life and especially since our work life is centered around them, it wouldn't feel right to keep posting if I didn't. Some of you know the story already but we lost our golden retriever Potatoes this week after her battle with kidney failure for the last year and a half, she was the best girl, best mam to the smallies, gave the best hugs, always smiling and wagging her tail, especially if you had cheese or toast. Absolutely devastated, the house feels empty.
As much as you might anticipate it, you really are never ready when you lose a pet and they're not just pets but family, squeeze your furry family tonight ❤️

With the few fine spells we've had and our pets aren't used to the heat, some go off their food or drink too much water, to give them a bit of a leg up to help them deal with it, this is new in stock with prebiotics and electrolytes.
To help maintain gut health and regulate hydration levels.

Honestly blown away by the response of the shop, the people and local businesses who have shared it, the well wishes, the presents and cards!

It wouldn't have been at all possible only for the help from friends, from the moment we started moving to the unwrapping of the pallets at the other end!
Noreen, Johnny, Angela, Caroline, Steve, Mattie, Patrick, Marie and Dan, truly thank you so much for everything you have done for us!
Honorable mention for my sister Elaine, my Mam Mary and my Uncle James!
And the truck drivers Gerry and Tommy who loaded it/transported it/unloaded it! Fearce amount of work!
The time it has taken us to get where we are now and we're not fully finished yet!

We will have an 'offical' open day soon but for the moment we are open!

Just a quick little update on things, due to a delay with the roof repairs it wasn't a simple swap over and open up. Nearly 50 wrapped pallets later, we're half way there.
Thank you so much to the customers that have called already, both local and our Ennis side customers that have made the longer journey, it has been great to see you all! ☺️

Anyway long story short we are open some capacity, just not for browsing yet.

Moving week is upon us and with that comes a name change as I *(Alison) take over the new shop in Ennistymon.
'The Pet Shop Girls'
We want to thank all of our customers in Ennis for your custom over the last 20years, the friendships, the chats, the laughs!
It will be sad to leave the place I spent my childhood but I'm excited to continue the family business in the same town my great grandfather started his in 1903.
The old number won't be in use after this week but I will update when we have a new number.
For any inquiries or if you need anything before we officially open, don't hesitate to message on Facebook or Instagram and I will sort it for you.

Wishing all of our customers a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
We really want to thank
all of you for making our last Christmas on this premises the best, it's going to be sad to see the building empty but I hope you'll join us on our new adventure in Ennistymon.
Grateful for the relationships we have built up over the years, it's not just a business to us.
We'll still be in Ennis for the majority of January and then it's onto pastures new.

Just a quick heads up, due to a delay we won't be moving to Ennistymon until January.
We'll be open as normal until the New Year in Ennis.

Today marks 19years in business in Ennis in this location, also marks one of our last working weeks here after all these years.

We just want to thank everyone so very much for your custom and friendship, both human and furry.
So proud of the base we have built over the years, bonding over our animals with eachother.

For those who don't know we will be closing here and relocating to ENNISTYMON in the coming weeks, so it's not goodbye just a further hello.

As sad as it is to say goodbye to the place we have built our business, we are excited to see what the future holds.

Our family comes from Ennistymon, M**s (Mary) grandfather opened his drapery shop in 1903, her father having it after, then my Mam (Mary) and now her brother James, James Devitt Hardware as you may know it, that shop is open 120years this year.

Mam (Mary) and I (Alison) will be opening the new shop in Ennistymon, we have come full circle and I will be a 4th generation shop keeper in the town.
