🌞 Sweltering weather alert 🌞

We have your animal covered with an array of different electrolytes which are needed for hard-working horses especially in this weather.

When horses sweat, the minerals they lose in the greatest amounts are sodium and chloride (commonly known as salt) and potassium. These minerals are known as electrolytes which need to be replaced. Electrolytes also increase water consumption to offset water loss from sweating. So pop in and have a look. 🏇

We have been inundated with people asking for mares milk replacer so we are now stocking the Horsepower mares milk replacer powder in 10kg bags.

If a foal is orphaned or mare has no/insufficient milk, this will provide all nutrients the foal requires up to weaning.

A handy one for anyone involved in foaling mares. We stock the Foal/calf Aspirator/Resuscitator Kit from McCulloch Medical. This is an essential kit to have, whether it be a large stud or a one-horse horse owner, when you need this equipment, you'll be glad you had it ready. It is invaluable at clearing the respiratory tract of newborn foals & pumping air into their struggling lungs. It is easy to use, with only one person needed to operate it.

With the Foaling season upon us, its time to think about what you might need to keep a healthy happy foal. We stock a couple of products here that will have you prepared as can be! But first up is the The UDDERLY EZ MILKER, making your life and the foals a lot easier!

This is a hand-held trigger operated vacuum pump used for the extraction of colostrum, the milking out of mares or for milking mares whose foals have inherited a different blood type than that of the mare and are at risk for NI.

Just a few pulls on the trigger, creates a vacuum in the bottle and the colostrum or milk flow starts—filling the bottle.The extraction cylinders have been designed to fit the unique shape of the mare’s udders. There are two sizes and they have a rolled smooth surface to prevent harm to the soft tissue of the udder. Each kit is packed complete for a mare.
