The nearest beach is Ballybunion which is about 9 miles away, it is 17 miles from Tralee which is about 25 min drive and Killarney is about a 50 min drive. Kerry Airport is located about 40 mins away. The Village where the property is located is Finuge which is a traditional Irish crossroads village with a pub, Teach Siamsa and a G.A.A. Sheehan's Thatched House located at Finuge Cross is regarded as one of the oldest surviving authentic thatched houses in Ireland. Conservation experts estimate it at least 300 years old. Numerous festivals take place in Kerry local to the property during the year, notabily Listowel Writers Week, Listowel Races, Sean Mc Carthy Memorial Weekend to name but a few. There is numerous restaurants in Listowel to cater for every taste. Traditional Irish Music takes place in local pubs in the summer months, on a Saturday which are well worth a visit! Also worth a visit in Listowel is Seanchai, the Kerry Writers Museum, here you can learn all about Listowel's Literary Greats like J.B. Keane, Bryan McMahon, George Fitzmaurice to name a few.
