And so another year has come and gone - we can hardly believe it but Alright Pumpkin has finished up for 2024! As always, it has been our privilege to host everyone; to share the harvest, get everyone outside (and sometimes into the muck) and most importantly - spread the autumnal joy.
Our thanks go to all our visitors and everyone that helps along the way as well, who have worked tirelessly through all conditions with the highest of spirits.
It’s incredible to believe this was our tenth year; to catch up with those of you who have been visiting since day 1 was outstanding; equally it was our pleasure to meet everyone for whom this was their first time to visit us - we’re so buoyed to know we’ll see you next year again! For now, we’re finally getting to do some of our own carving (and cooking!) in anticipation of Thursday; we hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween and we look forward to seeing you all again next year 🎃✨

Our last day of 2024!

A huge thank you to Shayla Rose for the beautiful picture. What a thoughtful and generous gift! We all love it and the pucture has been hanging in paystation.

Yesterday was very wet and very muddy. Today is no exception! Ticketholders, please wear wellies, wet gear, outdoor clothes when visiting today.

It will be dry overhead but definitely not underfoot!

You’ve seen us in the press but have you come to visit us in person? Over the last ten years, media support has been unbelievable. Quick off the mark in our first year was the Irish Examiner and and things grew from there - front pages of the , and the , a feature spot on , came to hang out, we gave a carving crash course to the morning crew in and we even had the cameras down in our field! We’ve even gone international, with two appearances on French tv. spent the day with us twice! We were also on Canadian Weather Tv too. Not because I am obsessed with weather but talking about halloween in Ireland. Canadian Weather Tv is like regular daytime TV. Tom the cover girl…who knew?!

Patch construction has been ongoing for weeks but in these final days is when we start to construct the bale sculptures. Over the last ten years we’ve had trains, minions, tractors, cows, catepillars, worms, spiders, and even Pokémon! Our favourite of course has to be Ted, who really embraces the seasonal spirit and has dressed up as a bee, skeleton, panda and even Batman! There’s been plenty of copies but only one has made the national newspaper - should he dress up again this year or do we love him just as he is?! 🧸

Working on some site drainage today. Not that we need to. Its going to be dry, isn't it? For cereal!?

Lots of rain + soil + lots of feet = mud!

A fairy ring has appeared in the garden. The mushrooms grow on the track of the dancing fairies. And if a human disturbs them and tries to join in the dance... the fairies put a spell on you and make you dance until you pass out of exhaustion. You have been warned!
