‼️PLEASE SHARE‼️

A sudden drop in temperature can be tough on animals, so here are some quick tips to protect your pets and livestock during cold weather:

Pets:

❄️Bring them indoors! Pets are safest and warmest inside.
❄️Provide extra bedding for warmth.
❄️Limit outdoor time for walks and play.
❄️Antifreeze is toxic so avoid use near animals.
❄️Check that outdoor water bowls have not frozen.

Livestock:

❄️Ensure shelters are windproof and dry.
❄️Provide extra feed—cold weather burns calories!
❄️Check water troughs often to prevent freezing.
❄️Make sure feed storage is dry to prevent mold or spoilage.

All Animals:

❄️Watch for frostbite or signs of hypothermia (shivering, lethargy).
❄️Avoid walking on salted roads—salt can hurt paws and hooves! Wash and dry paws and hooves after walking on salted roads.
❄️Check your car before driving, cats will seek out the heat coming from your engine!

Keeping your animals warm and cozy keeps them happy and healthy. If you have any concerns, our team is here to help! ❤️🐾

🦷Did you know it’s Dental Awareness Month?!? 🦷

When food particles and bacteria accumulate along the gum line, plaque can form. Once that plaque combines with saliva and minerals, it hardens into dental calculus, known as tartar.
This causes the gums to become inflamed, leading to a condition called gingivitis- an early stage of periodontal disease.

If you would like to discuss your pet’s dental health, call our office on 091-867455 to book your furry-friend in for a consult with one of our veterinarians! 🪥
