What is a comfort groom?
(Here demonstrated by 15 year old Bailey 😊)

🧴A comfort groom is a groom that keeps a dog as comfortable as possible between appointments AS WELL as a groom that is completed while trying to keep the dog as comfortable as possible.

A comfort groom might be needed for:

➡️ Senior dogs that have mobility issues, dementia
➡️ Obese dogs
➡️ Dogs with behavioral issues
➡️ Dogs with skin issues
➡️ Incontinent dogs

A comfort groom can be to:

✅ Clip the dog short all over
✅ To avoid "fancy" or time-consuming styles
✅ Avoid clipping all together but just wash/dry/tidy the fur
✅ To groom the dog on the floor

It is important to tailor the grooming session after the dog and it's specific needs. A comfort groom varies from dog to dog and it can also vary from appointment to appointment with the same dog.
