Today was a special day for us here at GalwayBayStud, as we received the exciting news that Jed and Luibanta ranked in at 1st and 2nd for Irish bred world Showjumpers this morning. Huge thanks to their riders Harriet Biddick,James Wilson with Jed and Amanda Derbyshire with Luibanta . Recognition is also due to their owners,as this achievement would not be possible without them, as they have produced both Jed and Luibanta to the highest level of international showjumping .News like this really makes the long nights and early morning starts worth it,especially during these difficult times.

Week 4 flew right by! This week, Amanda Derbyshire (GBR) was honored with the Martha W. Jolicoeur Leading Lady Rider Award after impressive competition out on the Derby Field at Equestrian Village.

Of her performance and the outcome, Derbyshire said, “It’s very special to win this award. I’ve never been the Leading Lady rider at WEF before, and I’m honored. It was such a great week to ride out on the Field- the weather, the footing, it was just perfect out there. The owners of Luibanta BH (the Gochman Family) are my biggest supporters and they came out to the $205,000 NetJets Grand Prix CSI 4* to watch us go so that was also incredible to have them there.”

What a day in Cavan today in the 5 yr old final. Our new Superstar Galwaybay Penelope ( Clinton x Heartbreaker) was so special being placed in her class and never a day away from home in her life. This week last year she reared her c**t in the field unbroken. Huge thanks to Daren Hopkins who is 2 weeks back from breaking his collarbone who gave her an excellent ride . Also to Noel Delahunty for his help and Alanna who kept her going for Daren whilst he was injured.So excited with this next Star for Galwaybay 🐴
