When did you last check your dogs teeth?
If your dogs breath is smelly or you can see plaque or tartar buildup it’s time to have them cleaned! Don’t leave it til they are beyond repair and require removal.

Do you know what this is?? …..
yes… it’s a cats p***s!
And do you know why we get excited about these little “spikes” - it means that the cat isn’t neutered!
So if we have a cat in with no obvious testicles externally this is a simple way we can check to see if he has been neutered previously!
How cool is that!? ***s

Please check your cattle grids for trapped wildlife!

I am devistated by the amount of wild lives lost to these death traps. I understand that some may need a cattle grid but there are so many around Ireland that are no longer needed as cattle dont wander onto roads anymore.
I lost another hedgehog yesterday, the 5th victim this year alone that I know of, but there are so many more that arn't found. Adult hedgehogs, pregnant females, young hoglet and juviniles all going about their lives only to end up dying of stress, dehydration, starvation and fly strike in the bottom of these death traps.
They can be ver deep, I have no idea why.
The bars can't be taken out to rescue trapped animals in most of them and it's not common practice for manufacturers to make shallow cattle grids and to put in an escape ramp.
Please, this has to change!

I am begging those of you who have cattle grids, check them twice a day, if you dont need them to please FILL THEM IN

If you must have them FILL THEM UP to about 30cm from the top and put in an escape ramp.

I am pleading with cattle grid manufactureres to put in an escape ramp as a matter of routine and removable bars as standard.
If we all do these simple steps we can all work together to save wild lives
