Marabelle went out at 2:30am when I was putting things in the bin. We haven't seen her since.
She's very quiet and skittish so I don't think she would approach people.

**Looking for a forever home **
This poor cat got dumped about 4 weeks ago and is being cared for by a local lady. She has been neutered and treated for parasites. She is very nervous and will need an experienced cat home. If you can offer her a forever home please contact Caroline on 0879131260. A donation for a local animal charity will be required for adoption.

REHOMED

The following cats are in need of new homes due to no fault of their own.

The black cat is Apollo, he is approx. 5 years old.
He is neutered and vaccinated.
He has a godfather attitude, strolls around like he is the king.
No interest in petting until you’re lying on a couch with a blanket. Loves to curl up on a couch or bed during the day and likes to be outside too.

The white cat is Piper and she is approx. 3 years old.
She is neutered and vaccinated.
She is a bit of a princess but likes to do her own thing. Again will only cuddle when she is ready. She loves head massages.

I don’t think breaking them up will upset them as they are very I individual cats.

Did you know that May is Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month?
Sorry we didn’t tell you sooner! 😃

VNAM is a chance to spread awareness and recognition for the hard work and dedication that registered veterinary nurses do on a daily basis all around the country.

Here at the cat hospital our RVNs wear many hats from radiologists, anaesthetists, phlebotomists, surgical assistants (scrubbing in when required 🧤🧼), wound management, client support, overall patient care. Along with nursing clinics of course!

Our current RVNs are Kelly and Eimear.
Both are extremely passionate about providing high quality care to their feline patients 🐱.

Kelly studied in St. John’s College here in Cork. She has a keen interest in surgical nursing, post-operative care and cytology (anything under the microscope has Kelly’s attention! 🔬)
Eimear studied in ATU Letterkenny and has a large interest in nutrition, behaviour, mental health awareness (both hoomans and animals) and animal welfare - being a voice for the four legged 🐾💛

The role of the RVN is still evolving as the profession is relatively new, nearly 20 years since the Veterinary Nursing Act 2005 was passed (in legislation, this is a short time believe it or not!).
We are excited to see how the role progresses in the future 💚✨

Rehoming:

This little tortie cutie ( we’ve temporarily named Freya) wandered into our house a few weeks back - starved and scared!

‘Freya’ is quite the charmer.
She is quite shy at first but cuddly and playful after that!
She prefers human company in my opinion.
She is house trained and clean at meal times, prefers to be indoors
Estimated to be around 2/3 yrs old and is currently not neutered. We’ve tried finding her owner to no avail and she has no microchip. She would love a safe and caring home.

🏡NEW HOME NEEDED 🏡

This is the gorgeous Tess.
Tess is approximately 1 year old.
She is neutered and flea and worm treated and is currently living in a cattery while she is waiting for a new home.

Tess is super affectionate and is an avid biscuit baker.

Tess would make a great addition to any family.

She can live on her own or with another cat if the introductions are done correctly.

Prince went missing on Saturday night in Cobh, around College Manor.
He is an indoor cat and is not used to being outside.
He is microchipped.
If anyone in the area could keep an eye out for him and check your gardens, sheds, etc. I would really appreciate it.
He is small and quite shy - he may not approach you if he is called.

We understand that housecalls are suitable for some issues particularly recurring treatments. Lovely Patches is an 11 year old, female cat. Due to a change in the owners circumstance, she is now looking for a new forever home. She is very friendly and affectionate and would do well in a home where she can get lots of attention. She is used to having a potter around outside so safe access to a garden area is a must. A young female cat ( 7-8months old) has been handed into us after being found on Barnavara Hill, Glanmire. She has been hit by a car and needs urgent medical attention. NEW HOME NEEDED🏡

This male black cat strayed into house in Kerry Pike.
He’s been around a couple of weeks now and has been to the vet and he was not microchipped!

The lovely family who are looking after him with 4 of their own cats kindly had him neutered, microchipped and treated for worms and fleas but cannot keep another cat.

Vet reckons he is around 2 years old.
He is very friendly and playful however would do best as an only cat as he likes to be in charge!
He would need plenty of space as he is very energetic! He is happy to be indoors but currently is sleeping outside in little house.
An indoor only cat home with a safe outdoor space will suit him best!

We are missing our cat Bear since last night. He is a house cat and unfamiliar with the area (we have just relocated temporarily here from Midleton). He is a 3 1/2 year old white persian, very friendly but may be taking shelter in someone’s backyard etc as he is easily frightened. **Looking for a Forever Home**
Both of these male cats are a year and a half old now and still looking for a forever home. They are neutered and parasite treated. The two female cats that were also a part of this litter have been rehomed for several weeks and are settling in well. We would love to see these two settled with a loving family and out of the freezing, appalling conditions they are currently living in. A cat savvy home would be needed where they can have the time to adjust to indoor life. The lady that is currently feeding them would be happy to drop them to their new home.
