We will be closing for both Grooming & Boarding on Friday 6th December as I go on Maternity Leave.

We only have a couple of Grooming slots left before finishing up so please message asap if you need an appointment.

We do not have a re-opening date just yet but keep an eye on our page for updates 🤗

Happy New Year to all our lovely friends at Grooming & Boarding by Niamh ✨ We had a great year and Ted had a blast with all his friends, new & old 🐶

Unfortunatley this year we lost one of our own. Our beautiful boy Shay ❤️ thinking of all our other 4 legged friends that went to rainbow bridge 🌈

Join us on Sunday, August 27th for a fun day out for all of the family. As well as a dog show, we will have a selection of stalls for you to browse, a BBQ and a baked goods stand. Please TAG some friends below who may be interested and SHARE this post

Registration opens at 12pm with the dog show commencing at 1pm. All proceeds will go directly back into our charity.

They say it helps to be a "little mad" to work/volunteer in Rescue and we think its safe to say that 5 of our volunteers are most definitely bringing truth to that saying ...

Mia ...Sinead...Diane...Leah and Margaret have all been volunteering at our sanctuary Heathlawn for many years now .

They know how important our work is to those animals who need us most ...they have seen the cases of cruelty and neglect ,held the young ,the old as they have struggled to survive their pasts ,cared for the sick and broken ...they have mopped a thousand floors ...fed hundreds of dogs ,walked thousands of miles ....all because they love and care for animals.

They have also seen first hand the financial struggles we face daily and how much it costs to keep the dreams and hopes of all our animals alive ,through us and our work .

Sooooooo...

One of this crazy (but loveable) bunch came up with the idea, that to raise some much needed euros ,they would jump out of an aeroplane from many miles up in the sky !!

Of course our health and safety member suggested that they may want to wear parachutes ,which of course takes abit of the fun out of it for those of us going to watch but in hindsight ,they will be needed on the rota ,so probably sound advice all round!!🤣🤣

We know its been done before by others but thats not the point for these five gals ,it will be THEIR first time ever ....infact for one of them (we wont mention any names ,...Margaret🙈) ,it will be her first time EVER to have even been on a plane!!! (We were going to suggest a week in Benidorm first might just ease her into flying but then decided why ruin the surprise 🤣) ...

For those of us in Team Galway Spca who have decided to keep our feet most firmly on the ground ,we will be with you ladies every scream of the way as we wait in joyful delight for you all to land with a bump ...cameras of course at the ready!!🤣

So PLEASE ...Take a little peak into your wallets/purses for any spare euros you may have and PLEASE give your support to these totally mad stars of Galway Spca as they take to the Skies on July 1st ...

The truth is ...We cant survive without your support ...abit like these girls cant survive without their shutes🤣

They are doing it for ONE REASON ONLY...

Those beautiful,gentle souls that you see daily on our social media accounts as we bring them and their stories into your homes and hearts as they journey through us and ,for most onto forever homes ...❤️

Heatwaves are like buses it seems. Nothing for ages then two come along together 😁

Which is why in the interest of safety we have decided to postpone our Fun Dog Show until September 4th.

Disappointing as this is for us all we feel it is our only option with the forecast as it is for the next few days.

Fingers crossed for third time lucky 🤣
