Hope you are all well and survived the Bank Holiday weekend and Halloween. Been extremely busy here at Woofy's Dog and Cattery Cottage.

Here are a few simple measures you can take to make sure your dog stays happy and healthy throughout the winter.
Avoid Thin Ice.
Protect Your Dog's Paws.
Trim Foot Fuzz.
Clean Your Dog's Feet.
Limit Dog's Time Outside.
Stay In.
Bundle Your Dog Up.
Consider Your Dog's Age.
Beware of Anti Freeze.

Winter cat care
Avoid using antifreeze. Ethylene glycol, otherwise known as antifreeze, is a chemical commonly used during the winter to prevent freezing.
Bang the hood/bonnet of your car.
Check their paws.
Provide a litter tray.
Provide lots of toys.
Keep them warm and dry.
Have a night in.

Please ensure your microchip is up to date for your dog/cat.

Today's tips for your dog:-
Here are five tips that can help your pet do just that.
Feed a high quality diet. Pets fed a high quality diet have a shiny hair coat, healthy skin, and bright eyes.
Keep your pet lean.
Take your pet to the veterinarian regularly
Keep your pet's mouth clean.
Do not allow your pet to roam unsupervised.

Top tips for feeding cats:
Cats require drinking water.
Cats need a well-balanced, meat-based diet to stay fit and healthy - they cannot be vegetarian.
Most human food does not meet the nutritional needs of cats, and some human foods can even be poisonous to cats, e.g. onions
Cats naturally eat several small meals per day. Make sure you feed your cat every day
If you provide a litter tray, make sure their food and water positioned well away from it. Most cats will not eat if their food is placed too close to their toilet site.
Talk to a vet if your cat's eating and drinking habits change - it could be a sign they're ill.
