⭐ ‘Understanding self-doubt‘
Doubt and uncertainty are a normal feature of everyday life. Feelings of doubt have both advantages and disadvantages. But doubt can also lead to uncomfortable feelings of anxiety. This is neatly captured in my stress equation; Stress + Uncertainty x Urgency. Whilst feelings of doubt are bad enough, when we allow our feelings of doubt to migrate into feelings of self-doubt we experience a significantly different state of psychological unrest. This talk will discuss and explain the connection between these themes as well as describing how to avoid slipping into there counter-productive strategies when experiencing doubt and self doubt.
⭐‘Developing Self-confidence'
There are various types of confidence; conviction of our knowledge, Self-efficacy & self- confidence.
In order to understand, and develop a genuine ‘24-carat confidence’ we must understand the differences and relationship between these different concepts, which is the purpose of Brian's second talk.
⭐ ‘Leading and managing confidently’
Now that we understand the various types of confidence, it is important that we apply them effectively to our work as well as in everyday life. In order to lead and manage confidently, leaders and managers must acquire the belief but they have the right to lead. This session will also show how confident leaders and managers have difficult conversations and the mindsets and tactics they use to navigate the perils of these conversations in an assertive and empathetic manner.
