Karma Waits .......
These 3 little souls were taken off the bog near Athy today. They were seen yesterday but a witness says he saw the poor collie there about 2 weeks ago but he could not catch her. This means she was there through the awful cold last week. She is pure terrified and so far she has not been able to keep food down. We want to let her rest and get warm first. A leaf weighs more than her. Her 2 buddies are eating well and are anxious but responsive. Another 3 journeys have begun. Say a little prayer for them and all the sad confused little faces who don't understand why they no longer have a home.
Blind dog chases ball.
Karole is blind but still every inch a collie.
A volunteer found a ball that squeaks when you pick it up, when you throw it and when it lands. Karole loves it. Now that her Diabetes is under control and she has gained weight ... she just wants to play. She brings the ball everywhere with her. It is lovely to see her run with such confidence. We are so proud of the progress we see in all our animals here at Kildare Animal Foundation.
Which one more?
Having taken one more again and again we had only one Foster place left and it came down to a final choice between the above dog locked in a tiny cage with no cover in a frozen garden or many others. These are choices we face every day. It never gets any easier. This little chap was made safe and well within 20 minutes of the call. That is honestly the best we can do.
Almost ready to start our walk!!!
Pure Magic Imogen wanted to take her puppies on an expedition up the fields but it was like trying to herd mice. Gina as always found an enjoyable way to make it happen. A barrow full of fun.

Rowena
This beautiful kitten came to us four weeks ago. Her tail had been caught in a trap and it was almost fully severed. She had been in the trap several days. The small of decay and infection was horrible. She was so far gone with pain, hunger and thirst .... we don't think she cared what we did to her. We were not at all sure that she would survive that night. Following several interventions by our miracle workers at Hawkfield Vets she is well on the mend. This video was made 2 weeks ago. She is haring around too fast today for me to get an up to date picture.
Please don't forget our animals this Christmas.

2 weeks on and Henry (who was rescued from the M7) is doing great…here he is is trying to wake up his foster Dad Max, who is having none of it!
One week on ....
Little Henry is having a better time this Sunday.
This tiny kitten was found on the M7 last Sunday by a gentleman called Joe. It was amazing that he even saw a kitten so small. He risked his own life to save little Henry. After a difficult first 24 hours Henry found his voice and his appetite. We salute Joe for his courage and all those who follow their hearts and save animals.
*Foster homes found*
These beautiful little dogs were found in the Monasterevin area 3 weeks ago. Both heavily pregnant with one due to give birth in the next 10 days. The finder will keep both dogs and have them neutered. However he is not in a position to care for a mother and puppies at this time. A Foster home, a shelter space or owner is urgently needed in the next few days.
