Don’t post huge amount on this page but got some very sad news today that one of our regulars for many years Bob passed away today . Everyone at the kennels had a soft spot for him . RiP little Oul bob 😢

Unfortunately he is one of a couple of our older regulars coming since our early days to sadly pass on this year, that text form owners letting us know is always very sad to get .

We have used it on a couple of our own pets , and on 1/2 of our more sensitive guests and found the results fantastic ..
We will be keeping a small number of stock here to sell, and can arrange larger orders .. Pm or call for price , but for quality is much better value than other super premium range foods .

To all our customers,

Just please note that during the off- season
(Oct-feb) we will be slightly reducing our public times in the mornings.

So from October 1st - feb 28th , the am slot will be 9am -11am , evening time remains the same at 4-5pm .

Also for that same period, we will have 2/3 less kennels available for boarding. So please ensure to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

These changes are to facilitate greyhound pups that we take in on pre-training courses , during the winter months.

Just on a last note too, as we come to the end of the summer holiday period just to say thanks to all our loyal & valued customers for your business and trusting us with your beloved pets with us as always! 🐶

Hi all, does anybody recognize this dog.. Was found in the junction at old Kilcullen ??? Seems in good condition and bar being abit wet is in good form but no collar .. Please share this so can reunite him with his owners .
Will bring him to vets tomorrow to see if is chipped .

A lady that had 2 kennels booked for 1st 2 weeks in August unfortunately had to cancel , so they are now available again .. We've turned away so many in the last couple of weeks for July and beginning of Aug ,so fairest way to do it is first-come/first serve on those 2 now free kennels .

Reminder to all our clients , that we only can cater for a small number of dogs and with it coming into the holiday season we are booking up fairly quickly , with several of the weeks booked up solid already . So please book early to avoid being disappointed.

Animals First Veterinary Hospital

Great to see animals first vets is back open .. We know personally that all circumstances for the closer was out of their hands so hopefully they can pick up where left off.
Also from our own business point of view,not only years of looking after our own dogs, their referrals and recommendations they gave for us in our early year was a huge part of any success we have had since.
Conor and the girls their our a fantastic bunch, and we wish them all the best.

Hi everyone
I am delighted to be able to tell you the good news that Animals First Veterinary Hospital has now re-opened after being closed for several months. I know that there has been has been a lot of speculation and quite a lot of confusion as to why it closed in the first place, so I thought I better explain the situation.
When Rachael left to return home in 2013 due to a combination of illness and family issues, the practice was taken over by a joint venture between a management company and the vets who were working in the clinic. While this apparently worked well at first, disagreements arose between them regarding how the clinic was being managed, and the direction it was taking. Despite my best efforts to resolve the situation, agreement could not be reached, and the management company made the decision to close the clinic down earlier this year. Unfortunately they gave no advance notice of this to anyone including clients who relied on the clinic to take care of their pets, or to Jane and Susan who were dismissed without any warning.
Thankfully after months of negotiations, I have managed to re-open the practice along with the vets who were working here for the fast two years . I know that a lot of our clients have been let down over the past few months while the clinic was closed, and I deeply regret this. We apologise sincerely if you have been affected by the closure of the clinic, but I assure you that it was for reasons out of our control. We intend to re-establish the clinic back to how it was before. I am back working in the clinic, Jane and Susan have re-joined us, and we shall have a permanent full-time vet starting with us shortly. Between us all we hope to be able to offer you the same level of care and service that you have come to expect from Animals First.

With all the bad weather a gate must have blown down , we found this dog in Kilcullen . Have seen it around the town with a lady walking her in the castlemartin/ cnoc na greine area . If anybody knows the owner can contact this page or Keith on 0862896569
