Merry Christmas to you all from us all here in Copper Beech Stables 🎅🏼🥳
All the ponies are getting their 2 week annual hols and we’ll all be fresh and raring to go in 2025!

The work that goes on behind the scenes is huge and I’m sooooo lucky. I have my yard team, the instructors (definitely the best going 🤩) but then Pat will pop over when my tractor is on the blink and push the muck heap back , move bales, Liam the local farmer will pop over on the day to deliver hay if I’ve forgotten to order it, then when he’s there he’ll fly out to a field with a bale of hay without being asked. Brendan and Eddie are great, and pop in a heart beat if my lorry won’t start, or if there’s fencing to be fixed. Teddy the farrier and team will be there on the button if a horse is lame, or pulled a shoe.
And the team from Equivet and Troytown have a service second to none if I’ve a problem!
Honestly from the team mates you see, to the ones you don’t - they all make such a HUGE difference.
I’m surrounded by people who want to help and never say ‘no’ and just appear when I need them!
I’m lucky enough to have such easy going happy liveries too.
And it rubs off….i have no doubt we’ve the happiest horses and ponies in Ireland 🥰

👻🧙🎃 Halloween camp 2024 👻🎃

Thanks to all that came, my enthusiastic, fun loving team of instructors and helpers and of course our four legged friends that bring us all together 🥰
Between lessons, jumping courses on ponies and on foot, pony games, bare back, gallops , a scavenger hunt , fancy dress and a bit of stable management thrown in , everyone seemed to have a ball!

Date : Friday 1st November
Time : From 3pm starting with x-poles up to 1m
Cost : E15 for one round , E25 for 2 rounds.
**an extra E5 to use one of our horses or ponies **

Cavan October show was a good one for us!
Nearly every round with every horse a clear one…and rosettes too 🥰
A shout out to Nick Benterman, as 3 of the 4 we owned that we had there we sourced from him.
The star of our show was Herle, first in the 1.35m on Thursday, 2nd in the 1.35m Grand Prix on Friday beaten less than half a second, then she came and jumped the 1.40m Grand Prix on Sunday and looked like the winner with 2 riders left to jump in the jump off…..then just had the back bar of the last jump down. Herself and Josh as cool as each other! 😎
Nick is a great horseman, and great at sourcing young horses with a talent. And older ones too at realistic prices.
If we’re ever looking , I’d only ever go to him. Great value is an understatement.
Herle was such a good buy, and I like the horse I jumped too. I’ve been out the ring for a while and she’s not much mileage, so we stuck to the 1.10m’s ….but talk about forgiving and careful 😂!
Then we had Tommy and our gorgeous Drake, they had a good show and one pole down in 3 rounds.
We’re so lucky to have the little team of horses we have 🥰
