As we say a heartfelt goodbye to the wonderful Jaydene Mc Gourty who is moving on to her own next exciting chapter, we are excited to offer the opportunity to join the Langara Stables team in the key role of Head Groom/Stable Manager. Based at our premier show jumping yard in Co. Kildare, Ireland ๐ฎ๐ช we are looking for someone passionate about horses, skilled in stable management, and eager to grow within our expanding business.
๐๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐:
As the Head Groom/Stable Manager, you will take the lead in managing the daily care and presentation of top-quality competition horses. This is a long-term position offering growth opportunities for someone who wants to become an integral part of our team.
๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐:
โจ Overseeing horse health, treatments and care plans
โจ Managing and mentoring grooms and staff
โจ Ensuring high standards of stable organisation and horse presentation
โจ Preparing horses for national and international competitions
โจ Scheduling farriers, vets, physios and other appointments
โจ Driving the van/trailer/truck as needed (if B/BE/C license is held)
โจ Flexibility on competition days and when clients visit
โจ Liaising with clients and sponsors
