As another year draws to a close we were hoping all dogs would be in their new home for Christmas but 6 will remain with us and will hopefully find their new families in January ❤️ 2024 was a very busy year for us, so many welfare cases, litters of dumped pups, lots of Lurchers in awful condition and this year so many Collies 💔 a total of 445 dogs have come into the shelter so far this year. We would like to thank you, members of the public who share and like our posts, those who have adopted dogs from us, to all of you who have donated food, toys etc, a special thanks to the wonderful rescues we work with, you all do amazing work and thanks for all the help throughout the year ❤️
Below are just a fraction of the dogs we have had the pleasure of looking after throughout the year, if you adopted a dog this year and they haven’t appeared in the video please send us a photo in the comments, we would love to see them ❤️

GREAT NEWS FOR LUNA, SHE HAS GONE TO HER NEW HOME ❤️
Today she left the shelter with the Denny family who had adopted their other dog from us 2 yrs ago, we are so happy to see this girl finally get a home and just in time for Christmas, thanks to Geraldine, Francis and family for coming back to us and choosing to adopt another dog from the shelter ❤️

A big thanks to everyone who has dropped donations of food, treats, blankets, toys, leads, collars to the shelter over the past few weeks, some were dropped at the gate so we didn’t get names, thanks so much to the little boy and his Mam who called yesterday, to Paul and Irene, to the Murray family pictured below and to the staff in Starbucks Kilkenny who organised a drop off for donations for the dogs, to everyone who donated to this and to Sarah and Bella pictured below who dropped it out to us today, thanks to all of you we really appreciate your kindness and generosity for the shelter dogs 🐶🐾❤️

GILLY IS FEELING MUCH BETTER 💖💕💗
We are so happy to be posting that Gilly has much improved, she still has a long way to go but we didn’t think she would get this far. She was briefly reunited with her pups but had no interest in them, she is now off to a fab foster home where she will get the tlc and care she so badly needs, thanks so much to Mo Chara, the vets and her foster family for helping with this precious girl ❤️

SIMON IS NOW READY TO FIND HIS NEW HOME ❤️
He was found as a stray and wasn’t reclaimed so is now looking for a new family, he is approx 4 yrs old, he mixes well with other dogs, he was initially shy but now loves to follow the staff around here at the shelter, he isn’t a typical active Spaniel and would love a fully enclosed garden to potter around in. LUNA AND ARIEL STILL LOOKING FOR THEIR NEW HOMES DUE TO TIME WASTERS 💔
Luna is approx 3yrs old, she is a nervous little Collie but very affectionate and loves human company, she also gets on well with other dogs.
Ariel is approx 1yr old, she gets on really well with other dogs and would ideally need another dog in her new home, we dont know how either would be with cats or small children, a fully enclosed garden will be required, if you can offer Luna or Ariel a home please contact us on 0599726785 or message us with your details including a contact number
