I came to Ireland in 2006 when I was 50. The last time I had a donkey was when I was a child in Malta so I started looking for a donkey. I bought Toby as a lovely 6 month old chocolate brown foal. Little did that realise that I was to set up a sanctuary for all these abandoned and unwanted equines!!! Looking after all these horses, ponies and donkeys has now become my life. I am up at 5 every morn

ing and work my way through the day. I usually collapse into bed around midnight after a lovely relaxing warm bath
