🚨🚨🚨FEBRUARY CLINIC 🚨🚨🚨

We thought it would be great timing in the new year and the start of a new competition season to host our first clinic of 2025 with a focus on Equine Nutrition.

So with this in mind we have scheduled a clinic for 🐴Saturday the 8th of February🐴and we are delighted to welcome Independent Equine Nutritionist Charlene Little to Devine Equine for the day.

The format of the day will be similar to previous clinics with a full consultation with Charlene then followed by a lesson with myself. Cost shall be €100 and also includes lunch/refreshments and use of the facilities here. Places are limited and this is a great opportunity to ensure you and your horse have a good start and plan in place for the year ahead.

Charlene strives to bring a combination of straightforward, impartial advice backed by scientific knowledge to equine nutrition. She does this by combining her personal experience as a rider, owner, breeder and farming with her background in chemistry and specialisation in equine science and nutrition from Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh.

A consultation reviews your horse's current body condition, general nutritional related health, clinical conditions, turnout, management, forage and concentrate feeding ration.
Charlene shall then prepare a report with a balanced ration and management plan dependent on you and your horses circumstances. This is taking into account factors such as budget, livery arrangements, work load, competition program and also your management plan. She will discuss this fully with you, implement it and review to make sure it is working for you and your horse, making any adjustments needed.

Thank you to everyone in Erne Lakeland Riding Club-Fermanagh for today and hosting the clubs first clinic of the year in Castle Irvine Necarne’s beautiful indoor arena today again. It was great to see everyone bright and fresh in the new year with great plans for the year ahead too. Thank you to everyone who attended and as always to the organisers and the wonderful horses who were all just great today. 🐴

Many of you will know that we said goodbye to two of our dearest horses just over a year ago before Christmas. I got the loveliest Christmas present from Stephen which he and Sally worked on together. It included the horses tail hair both individually and together exquisitely interwoven.

Sally has also made a lovely piece for my friend from her horse who was very much alive at the time and which she also treasures.

I can’t recommend Sally enough and it’s so lovely to have such a precious piece of the horses still here with us in their memory.

The wait is over and my workshop door is now open after the Christmas break ☺️

☄️Wow! ☄️

The East Donegal Pony Club were amazing this morning having a fun filled rally at Greenacres Stud & Equestrian Centre.

We had runners and riders on their marks and off to a flying start after Christmas.

Thank you to everyone for this morning and for the lovely refreshments afterwards too.

It’s been so great to have been involved with so many wonderful clubs, groups and individuals and we are so grateful to everyone.

Thanks also to our families and friends and the team behind us that no one sees to keep us on the road and chasing all of our dreams both big and small and finally to our amazing horses who enrich our lives in so many ways.

We were so delighted to be part of the Donegal Sports Partnership’s Sport 4 Empowerment Programme in Donegal.

This was in collaboration with the Donegal Domestic Violence Services - DDVS Service.

It was our privilege to be a tiny part of the journey undertaken by so many amazing women throughout the duration of the programme.

We are excited to share the newly released S4E Report, which highlights the programme’s components and, most importantly, the voices and feedback of the incredible women who have taken part. Their experiences showcase how sport and physical activity can be transformative tools in rebuilding confidence and fostering a sense of community.

This report aims to provide a clear overview of S4E’s work in Donegal and capture the heart of this initiative. To all our partners, supporters, and participants—thank you for being part of this journey.
