🏷️ If your pet went missing today, could we get them home to you? 🐾

A microchip might be tiny, but it can make a huge difference when a pet goes missing. It is also a legal requirement to microchip your pet!

🔎 Each microchip has a unique identification number that can be read with a scanner. This number links to the owner’s registered contact details on a microchip database that is only accessible to authorised personnel.

But there’s one important catch…
A microchip can only help reunite you with your pet if your contact details are up to date.

🏡 Moved house?
📱 Changed your phone number?
📧 Got a new email address?

Consider this your reminder to check your pet’s microchip details today!

Not sure if your pet is microchipped? Get in touch with our team — we can scan them and check for you. 🐶🐱🐾

🐾 Why do yearly vaccination visits matter?

“My pet had all of their vaccinations when they were little — why do they need boosters?”

It’s a question we hear a lot! 💚

Vaccination protection doesn’t always last for your pet’s entire life. Boosters help maintain protection as they get older, keeping them protected against potentially serious diseases.

💉 Does every vaccine need to be given every year?
Not necessarily! Your vet will consider your pet’s age, lifestyle, travel, vaccination history and individual risk factors to recommend what’s right for them.

🩺 It’s about more than vaccinations.
Your pet’s annual visit is also an important opportunity for a full health check. Because our pets can’t tell us when something feels different, regular check-ups can help spot changes that might otherwise go unnoticed.

📅 Not sure when your pet is next due?
Get in touch with our team and we’ll be happy to check their vaccination record. 🐶🐱🐰

A little peek behind the scenes!
There is a lot happening in a veterinary practice that our clients do not normally get to see. From
Preparing theatre and running lab tests to caring for our inpatients every member of the team plays a part.
And yes… plenty of cuddles are involved too. ❤️🐾
Here is a glimpse into a day with our team!

We’ve had a few lovely patients in with us recently for CT scans ❤️

CT allows our veterinary team to take detailed, cross l-sectional images of the body, helping us investigate areas that can be difficult to assess with standard x-rays alone.

From noses and ears to chests, joints and spines, CT can provide valuable information to help us get a clearer picture of what’s going on and plan the next steps for our patients.

Here are just a few brave faces who have visited us for their scans recently! 🐶🦴

Those first few weeks can be a whirlwind, so here are some things worth thinking about.

Bringing home a new puppy or kitten is incredibly exciting - and there is a lot to remember!

One of the first things to arrange is their vaccination course. Young animals receive some protection from their mother, but this protection does not last forever. Vaccination helps their developing immune system build protection against important infectious diseases.

There is not one schedule that is right for every puppy or kitten. Timing can depend on their age, previous vaccinations, the vaccine being used and their individual circumstances.

A vaccination appointment is also a great opportunity for a health check and to discuss parasite prevention, diet and growth, dental care, microchipping, neutering and behaviour.

Got a new addition to the family? Contact us to arrange their first visit. ❤️

Frank was limping on his front legs so he came to us for a contrast enhanced CT scan! A Ct scan helps diagnose orthopaedic and soft tissue conditions to help our team provide high quality care to your pets ❤️
