Thanks to this little daredevil for being so brave during his visit. This guy's got the looks of a tiny leopard and the personality of a kitten who's definitely planning to take over the world.
Can you guess his breed? Hint: It's the wildest of them all.

Help us kickstart our research and shape the future of our services!

We are delighted to be working once again with Professor Veronica Lambert, Associate Professor Lorraine Boran and the team at DCU to plan round table discussions over the coming months.

The first of these is a zoom roundtable on the 26th February 2025, from 2:30pm to 4pm

This will be the first step to inviting Cian’s Kennels ‘family and friends’, volunteers, support staff, and researchers in DCU , to a research strategy café conversation to help put shape on Cian’s Kennels research strategy.

We would be delighted if you could join and get involved in some discussions, sharing your experiences and ideas so we can show the positive impact the services provided by Cian’s Kennels has on the whole family when dealing with illness. This will kickstart a huge amount of research and information gathering so please get involved – we would love to hear from you.

For further information and link to discussions next week please email [email protected] or contact Grainne on 085 1488660.

We had the pleasure of seeing the lovely Jessie today for her post-op check-up, and she arrived in style, sporting the most fabulous inflatable collar! She was absolutely beaming with excitement, her huge grin lighting up the room.

A special request to our wonderful clients!
Dear valued clients,
We often have veterinary and veterinary nursing students travelling from all over Ireland and abroad to gain experience at our practice, and they sometimes need a temporary place to stay. We know how kind and supportive our community is, so we're reaching out to see if anyone has a spare room available for rent.
If you have a space in your home and would be open to renting a room to a student - whether for a few weeks or longer - we'd love to hear from you!
How it works:
You let us know if you have a room available.
When a student needs accommodation, we'll pass them your details.
The student will contact you directly to arrange everything - it's completely between you and them.
If you're interested or just want to chat about the possibility, please reach out to us at Emma Plant's on 043 3336456 or email [email protected]. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our veterinary family!

Many of you will already know about The Hare's Corner, which is a Burrenbeo Trust initiative. The Hare's Corner supports landowners, including schools and community groups, to make more space for nature through the creation of mini-woodlands, ponds, orchards, and specialised plans for nature. More applications for this programme will be opening very soon.

🌳We support mini-woodland applicants by providing a mixture of native Irish trees, including the endangered Burren Pine trees, and companion broadleaved species, guidance and training 🌳

💚 We support pond applicants by providing guidance for the selection of an appropriate site, the design of the pond, and funding for the construction of the pond 💚

🍎We support mini-orchard applicants by providing heritage apple trees and providing guidance and training 🍎

🌱We support ‘Plan for Nature’ or ‘Peatland Plan’ applicants by arranging a site visit by an ecologist or a specialist advisor to your site. You will receive a short report on which valuable habitats are already on your land (and how to maintain them) as well as advice on how to implement changes and measures to enhance ecological diversity on your land 🌱

Burrenbeo Trust members are prioritised where necessary. Visit www.burrenbeo.com/thc for more information
and www.burrenbeo.com/support-us/ for membership options.
