A reminder that we will start the nursery season on Sunday 3rd November in Cong, Co. Mayo.

A class will start, followed by B class and then C (beginners/farmers' class).

Newcomers are very welcome so if you've always wanted to have a go at trialing, come along and and join the craic.

I know it seems early, but we already have some bookings for the December holiday period, so, if you are going away, be sure to book sufficiently in advance as places are limited due to our small scale.

After a week of German Shepherds and Border Collies, it's a week of mainly small boarding dogs (and one boxer) this week. Funny how they sometimes come in groups like that.
Thankfully no storm damage even though it was wild for a while.

Walkies for the brother and sister. The male has taken to the halti optifit very well which, with my tendon problems, is a relief 🥰

We won't be doing too much of this today in this heat 🎾 These are two brothers in for boarding. We actually don't play ball with ours as a general rule.

Tools DO NOT replace training, but sometimes they allow a learning environment to begin. This lad was totally unmanageable on walks. He would have dislocated someone's shoulder and strangled himself in the process. Now that the excitement is under control, we can do some teaching and discover new things.

Whatever a tandem is in triple. In this weather it's useful if some can double (or triple) up.

The big lad is back and he's fitted right in where he left off. Pip and Dale, who hadn't met him before, are unsure what to think.

There is a certain company whose advertising relies on dissing 'kennels' as being stressful, so I thought I'd give you a little insight into how it is here. Obviously kennels are not for everyone, and there are plenty of different choices out there for those who prefer not to use kennels, but maybe this might reassure some people that some dogs love it in kennels. Some of these have been here before and are only delighted to come to the place where they get to socialise and play.
