Pets, just like their owners get sick and have accidents requiring emergency treatment. Many also develop long-term illnesses such as arthritis, heart disease or diabetes, all of which require lifelong treatment. Pet insurance policies vary, but it is always best to find one that covers accident and illness for the duration of your pet's life.

Our friends over at Cloyne Veterinary Clinic have had one of their rosebushes "rehomed". This beloved plant is dearly missed by the Cloyne team and it's plant sibling. 🀞They are reunited soon.

UPDATE IN COMMENTS πŸ˜‚

LOST… 🧐πŸ₯·

Someone seems to have mistakenly assumed that one of our rose bushes (pot and all), was a stray and brought it home with them. πŸ«£πŸ˜„

Could we please ask for its safe return ASAP?

These plants were homed together, have watched eachother grow from day 1 and we dread to think the effect it will have on our remaining rose plant without its other half πŸ’”πŸ˜œ

We hope that we will be reunited with our pot and plant in the next 24hours, please share to help us spread the word! ☺️

To the person who has it, please keep it watered, and you won’t be in trouble πŸ€ͺ

Wilson was an incredibly brave little kitty when she came in for vaccines last week. Vaccinations are essential to keeping your pet healthy and safe from life-threatening diseases. Puppies and kittens need an initial course of 2 shots and then yearly boosters after that.

It's hip to chip!!
A microchip is a tiny computer chip which has an identification number programmed into it and is encapsulated within a biocompatible material. The whole device is small enough to fit inside a hypodermic needle and can be simply injected under the skin of our pets, where it will stay for the life of the animal. This provides a permanent identification that cannot be lost, altered or intentionally removed - a safe, simple and inexpensive way to protect your pet against loss or theft.
If you have any questions about microchipping head over to https://www.fido.ie/faq #5

Lost Pet Prevention Month in July is dedicated to educating pet parents on how to keep their pets safe. It comes at the height of summer because we're seeing a worldwide trend of missing pets spiking in these warmer months.

Pets go missing regularly, often through no fault of our own. Through networks of rescues, vets and social media, many lost dogs are reunited with their families. This is the month to consider what you can do to minimise the risk of your pet going missing.

Keep your pet secure. Whether on a lead when out and about or in a fenced garden, your dog is less likely to wander if it is secured.

Dogs who have been trained are less likely to go missing. The most important thing you can teach your dog is recall. Formal obedience training also offers owners valuable information that can lead to a better relationship between pet and owner.

Always supervise your animal. Pets can be stolen,, even from an enclosed garden.

Tags and microchipping help with the recovery of a missing animal. These steps must be completed when you first receive your new family member. While tags are inexpensive to protect your pet, pets lose their collars. A microchip is a legal requirement of all dogs living in Ireland.

Spaying and neutering reduces your pet's likelihood of wandering off in search of a mate.

It is so important to keep your records up to date for your animals. We come across so many microchips that do not have new owners details registered or have incorrect contact details. Check collars and tags regularly that they are still in place and contact details are visible.

Signs your cat is planning a takeover:
😼 Watching you
You think Snowball is looking at you with love and affection, WRONG. They are watching for signs of weaknesses.

😼Watching the TV
Floofy-poo might happily sit and stare at a screen for hours. They’re are not keeping up with Bridgerton, but like the Netflix algorithm itself, they’re slowly gathering intel on your likes, dislikes, and deep dark fears.

😼Playing with toys
Pookie might look cute rolling around on the floor and playing with their toys, but they are actually honing their kung fu skills to use on us when we least expect it.

😼Interrupting work
If Purrfessor Meow Meow likes to lying on laptops, newspapers or your phone, they are trying to limit communication to the outside world.

😼Lying on the stairs
Is Mittens chilling out or lying in wait? You can't stop them taking control of the household with a broken leg now can you?!

😼Observing you from high places
Mr Fluffy-pants wants to make sure you understand your place i the hierarchy system.

😼Watching you on your PC or laptop
Is Waffles interested in your computer? Cats are more tech savvy then most people and can easily research topics like β€˜How to Take Over the World,’ and β€˜How to Order Dreamies with My Owner’s Credit Card.’

😼Sneaking up on you
You know the feeling. You're alone and when you turn around you have a cat staring up at you. Unsettling, isn't it?. If Binky-boo-boo is doing this, it means they’ve already begun to test the boundaries of their dominance.

😼Staring into space
Captain Meowington staring into space? They’re thinking of treats and breakable things they can push off shelves; they’re actually plotting and manifesting their world domination plans.

😼Knocking objects off shelves
Sir Meows-A-Lot loves to knock objects off tables and shelves? They’re not bored, it’s because they’re seeing how far they can push you.
