Had to share this again as it's just too cute 💛 We get asked alot about the dogs napping in daycare! Not only is it really cute but it's actually a very important part of the daycare day. Dog's naturally need a lot of rest/sleep throughout the day to keep them happy and healthy 💛 It's a good thing our daycare dogs are a big fan of their snoozes 😂
We get lots of people asking about the dogs napping in daycare 😊 Nap and rest time is a really important part of the day for our daycare dogs. Despite what people may think running around and playing all day isn't good for dogs. You end up with over stimulated and over tired dogs which can lead to its own problems. Here at Happy Tails we want to get a nice balance between play and rest so that daycare is a home from home for the dogs in our care 😊 For people wondering how we get them to nap, we follow dog's natural behaviour of being most active morning and evening with lots of relaxing during the day. We also sit down with the dogs, turn on the heaters and put on their relaxing dog music 😴🐶 As most of our dogs are long time regulars they have this routine down and the new dogs learn from them💛

We know a lot of customers are worried about looking after their dogs coats over the next few weeks as most of us won't be able to get our dogs professionally groomed. 🐶This means we will need to do more at home to keep our dogs coat in good condition. 🐩Unfortunately a lot of dogs really do not enjoy being washed or brushed. We have made a short video looking at how we can calmly introduce a more positive experience to baths and brushing. 😊
