🐾 Transformation Tuesday on a Monday 😄! 🐾

Little Roxy, a 4-month-old Bichon Frise puppy, came in today for her very first haircut! Normally, I’d wait until puppies are over 6 months old before giving them their first full groom, but as you can see from the “before” photo, Roxy really needed it to feel comfortable again.

Her coat had become quite overgrown, making her transformation all the more rewarding! Roxy was such a good girl throughout her groom – a true superstar for her first time on the table.

Well done, Roxy, on your gorgeous new look! You’re feeling fresh and fabulous, and we couldn’t be prouder of how brave you were. 💕

Reminder to All Clients

At the moment, I don’t require deposits for bookings (except for online bookings). This trust-based system works well because 95% of you show up to your appointments—and I’m so grateful for that!

However, during the busy Christmas period, I kindly ask everyone to be extra considerate. If you can’t make your appointment, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. I have people on a waiting list who would love to take your slot, but I can only accommodate them if I get notice in time.

When someone doesn’t show up without notice, it’s not just an inconvenience—it’s a loss of income and resources. Preparing for each appointment involves heating the cabin, preparing water and shampoo, and setting aside time that could have been used to serve someone else.

If you have an appointment this week and think you won’t make it, please text me ASAP. I really don’t want to have to bring in a strict deposit policy, so let’s keep this system running smoothly.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping me make this Christmas season manageable for everyone!

‼️🐾This is Ted, or full title Theodore Roosevelt! He is a rare breed of terrier called Glen of Immal. There is less than 1,000 of them left in the world. They are short and strong and weigh a lot more than you would think, about 40lbs! They were originally bred to hunt small vermin such as foxes, badgers, otters and rats.

Teddy was in today to get hand stripped. Hand stripping is a grooming method used to remove dead undercoat by hand instead of a clippers. This works great for dogs with a wiry coat like Ted. Removing these hairs encourages new healthy hair to grow in its place instead. The new hair growth will be a wiry texture. Thick, wiry coats were designed to protect them while they hunt, dig, or chase through bush and forested areas. Old and dead hairs would naturally be pulled out during this process. 🏹🐕

✨🐾Oreo, the beautiful Pomeranian, has been with me since I first opened my doors in 2023, and I absolutely love having him here! His mam and dad do an amazing job keeping his coat in top condition with regular brushing, which makes such a difference in maintaining that signature Pom fluff. Today, Oreo got the VIP treatment with a double shampoo followed by a luxurious clay treatment. I let the clay sit for five minutes and brushed it through his coat, and just look at that stunning shine! ✨ Always a pleasure to see you, Oreo!
