**Foal Passports - Important Notice**
We are aware that several vendors are still awaiting passports for their foals and timelines to receive them are unclear. We do not want to have to delay payments any more than absolutely necessary, so we would ask any vendors who sell awaiting passport to let us know as soon as your passport is processed. To help us assure buyers that applications have been made, all foals sold will have their microchips checked and noted on Sunday to help us to expedite identity validation.

Anthony Gillespie Show Chairman. On behalf of the 2024 IDHBA National show committee I would like to thank all who attended our Show on Saturday. To the Judges in the 4 rings who judged top class entrants in each class with skill, knowledge and thoroughness. Thank you. To each ring Stewart your help was invaluable. To the owners, breeders and spectators I thank you for participating in the show. To all our sponsors without you our show would not run to the same scale. A big thank you for your support. To all who helped in any way in setting up and running the show your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you to the Mounted Garda unit for your display at the show. I Don't know who to thank for the weather ☀️but it helped make the show. With the 2024 show season drawing to an end we look forward to seeing you all again at the 2025 IDHBA National show.

Our Story

The IDHBA’s National Show - held annually - attracts and showcases the best of Irish Draught horses in Ireland with exhibitors coming from every corner of the country. Broodmares, foals and youngstock are shown in-hand on grass and have included the best of breeding and quality in recent years with Dublin and Balmoral Champions coming to Punchestown. In the all weather arenas horses can be seen under saddle in the ridden hunter, side saddle and performance classes.

The show attracts Irish and international visitors. Located at Punchestown since 2015 the show is easily accessible to local as well as international visitors and exhibitors. Entries, exhibitors and spectators have increased year on year since 2015, with 2018 being our biggest show to date with nearly 1,000 attendees on the day.

The 2019 Show takes place in Punchestown on Saturday 31st August.

Our web page http://www.idhba.ie/NationalShow2019.html will have our full show schedule and entry forms for 2019 when they are published in June 2019.
